Great location, walkable to downtown Custer and close to Custer State Park, mount rushmore, and Craxy Horse.

Excellent location in the heart of the main Black Hills attractions. Cabins are near the highway, but up on a hillside, so road noise was not an issue in late August. Great home base for exploring the area!

We had a good stay, but the info provided on Hotels.com was different than what we found. In Hotels.com we expected lobby hours until 10pm, but when we arrived at 8:15, we learned the lobby closed at 8:00. Likewise on Hotel.com we thought breakfast would be available from 6:30am; but in reality breakfast became available at 8:00. I didn't see any staff for the duration of our visit. We still had a good stay & really liked the town of Custer. We would stay there again!

We greatly appreciate the extra room for our 18' foot trailer. The grab and go breakfast had nice cereals, yogurt, juices and bread options. Staff members were all very nice and helpful.

Clean, confusing parking, not at all "accessible"

Cabin was clean. Bathroom was all enclosed in one room. Bedspread looked like it was from the 70s. Outlets were too far from one side of bed. Would have loved to use the private deck, but it was way too windy.
Email ahead of time had said they were full, but there were never more than 3 cars at all the cabins, so I don't think they were actually full. We stopped by 2 hours ahead of check in just to see if we could drop off luggage in our cabin. Girl at the desk had to call her manager for permission, but they did let us check in early.
Unfortunately, she failed to tell us about the parking for our cabin. As we drove up, we saw a place to park, but then had to lug our luggage up the hill. Then as we got closer to our cabin, we saw the small parking spot next to the cabin. If the cabins had been full with cars at all of them, parking would have been difficult at times. Once you parked, there was no place to turn around upon departure, you had to back up until you got to a larger part of the parking area. Just something to be aware of, especially if they are indeed full.
Lots of rocks and steps to get into the cabin, so if you are looking for something accessible, this is NOT it. There were some hotel rooms in the same building as the office which looked more accessible. The cabins are NOT.
Location was good in Custer. But I wished we had stayed at one of the cabins in Custer State Park instead.
