100/10 Loved my stay here!!

This hotel was perfect. Starting from check in, I didn’t get her name but she was so friendly, every employee I encountered was friendly. My room was beautiful. Not one funny smell. I am sensitive to smells. The corner couch was perfect for relaxing. Cleanliness was a 10+. Nice walk in shower, great views, comfortable bed, real AC.
The location was perfect for walking and the view from my room was stunning. I will stay here every time I come to Houston.

Valentines Staycation

Had a fantastic Valentines staycation in Downtown Houston.
Very friendly staff, nice rooms, grand atrium.
Great location in central downtown to easily access any parts of the city.

This Hyatt Regency is a typical 3-star business hotel: it was clean, recently updated and has an Einstein Bros bagel store that is open 24/7. I have stayed at this hotel every 3 months for the past few years. What took me by surprise on this particular stay was a Destination Fee that was charged to me without any warning. The front desk clerk said that its a charge for using in Hotels.com to book the room. No where in the room rate description did it say that I would get this charge and didn’t mention it when I checked in. I hate the fact they sprung it on me when I was checking out. I will be looking for a new Houston hotel as a result.

Great hotel, the Hotels.com mislabeled the pool as having a poolside bar, this is incorrect. There is not a bar on the same floor as the pool.
Bar is great. A lot of good restaurants within walking distance.
I was approached by a homeless person in the lobby, security could be a bit tighter.

We were lucky to get an early check in. A bit disappointing that the poolside bar was closed. Maybe it was too hot!
