Great Hotel! Especially for Business extended stay. Manager is Great!

I've been staying at this Affordable Suites Extended stay in Kannapolis, NC off and on for 2 years. The staff especially the manager Deedra are very professional. I have not had any issues. Thank you Affordable Suites Kannapolis, NC!

I am at a loss for words!

I have lived in Lenoir for 3 years..my mother passed away Nov 17 of last year so Ive relocated home to Concord to tend to my Dad since her passing..I booked a stay at the Kannpolis location with plans to be there at least 2 months while looking for permanent residency..the manager briefed me on the very strict rules and regulations which I was pleased to hear because that to me meant I was finally gonna be in a quiet..clean place with decent people..I was wrong!..on Tuesday morning of my first week there I was startled awake before 8:30am to loud knocking at the door and yelling from the other side of the door..it was the manager Diedra yelling "Tiffany..open this door..right now..we need in there to change the light ficture in the bathroom..open this door!"..I almost fell out of the bed and was scrambling to get my husbands hearing aid to him and some suitable clothes on so that I could answer the door..then soon as I opened the door I was accused of smoking which I do not smoke in there..she came back to the room and plugged in this very strong ozone generator .while we were in the room..which you are not supposed to breathe ozone..I have copd and my nasal passages and lungs were inflamed for days after..then the very next morning I was startled awake again before 8:30am..same way..being yelled at from other side of the door that I better open that door right now so housekeeping can come in..the day of check-in I told the manager I wouldnt need housekeeping that Id do it myself being since I am high risk for Covid eith my copd and already having a heart condition and dvt blood clots..then 2 weeks later I was scared to death once again by same loud..rude..offensive beating..not knocking but beating on the door..it was manager again threatening to keep my deposit accusing me and my husband of fighting..I explained to her no..his hearing aid battery had died and I had to raise my voice from the other room helping find his batteries..she then told me "i dont care if you have to speak right into his ear with your lips against his ear..thats what your going to have to do here..you cant do that here..you didnt tell me he was hearing impaired..you cant do that here!"..I then cried and became upset and embarrassed..and so did my husband..week 3 I left to go Lenoir for the day and evening..when I returned next day I noticed housekeeping had came in my room..nothing was touched all but 2 rolls of toilet paper left on the counter..so I then checked around because I wasnt there and housekeeping came in..later that evening I noticed a 160.00 pair of shoes were gone..what is so devistating about that is that I had 1100.00 stashed in the right shoe under the insole..anytime I stay in a hotel I hide my valuables..I had already been given the okay from manager day of check in that housekeeping not coming in was fine..I mentioned all this to the manager and wasnt dignified with a response on the issue..a few days passed by and I took a fall in Charlotte and hurt my hip..I DID NOT get hurt on affordable corporate suites property!..Diedra texted my telephone demanding that I provide a drs note saying I CAN take the stairs because I was on 2nd floor reason being "because she cant have me falling down the stairs because she doesnt have any first floor rooms so I have to give her a drs note or I must leave"..the next day my husband had errands to run..since I was hurt from that fall I needed some help getting up and down..he brought my brother in law over to sit wity me a few hours in case I needed help while he was gone..I was awoken AGAIN to loud..offensive beating in the door..it was the manager Diedra..when my brother opened the door for me so I could stay sitting..she made him leave right at that moment..made him leave walking..screamed at him and me..told us both that we cant do this here..that I cant have people here..only 2 people..and he had to leave right now and I have to leave in the morning..i was paid up for another week..I askee if Id get a refund and 2 days later I was told I could..I was made to leave with no warning..stolen from..embarrassed and having panick attacks from the stress because I was seen limping on the property..because I had help tending to me while I was down with a medical issue..and because my husband is hearing impaired..I slept in my car for 2 days after being thrown out for reasons I had no idea were legal to throw someone out for..Ive also left messages with corporate office in Virginia and have yet to recieve a call back..I feel only option I have is to call Action 9 since corporate doesnt seem to care how their customers are being treated..these suites feel like being in prison..I have never been so stressed..embarrassed..and just plain violated in my 40 years..especially by someone I paid good money to provide me a comfortable experience!..

As the Property Manager it is my responsibility to ensure the comfort, safety and well fair of all my Guest. And also that all Guest follow the Rules of the Property. I am sorry you left feeling dissatisfied.
