A Hidden Gem Just Off Duval Street

While walking down Duval Street, we heard incredible live music drifting through the trees and couldn’t resist following it. Tucked behind The Key West Hotel, we discovered the Bali Bar—an intimate, tropical oasis hidden among lush gardens that felt like a secret escape from the busy street.
Kari Wolf was performing the evening we visited, and she was absolutely phenomenal. She welcomed song requests, interacted with the crowd, and created an atmosphere that was as entertaining as it was relaxing. Her talent and energy kept us there far longer than we had planned. In fact, after dinner and dessert, we found ourselves drawn back by the music and stayed until her set ended at 11 p.m.
The setting couldn’t have been more perfect. Nestled between the hotel buildings near the pool, surrounded by beautiful greenery, it felt peaceful and intimate. Large fans kept the space surprisingly cool, even on a warm Key West evening, and sitting right in front of the stage made it feel like a private concert.
This ended up being one of our favorite discoveries of the trip. If you’re walking down Duval and hear music coming from behind the hotel, follow it—you’ll be rewarded with an unforgettable evening. It’s truly one of Key West’s hidden gems.

Best hotel experience I’ve had to date

There aren’t enough good things I can say about my experience at this hotel. Every single person from the office to the Bali Bar were extremely friendly and welcoming. There is live music until 11pm that we would go sit and listen to at the end of the night before going back to our room and it was great. The hotel in itself is a laid back, welcoming environment that makes you feel at home. The location is fantastic with how close it is to everything yet it also feels secluded once you are there. We were able to park on the street outside the hotel to unload/load our luggage and then we didn’t need the car again until it was time to leave. Oh and the shower was hot and the water pressure was great.

Our room was spacious and clean, with a bag of Key Lime cookies waiting for us on arrival. We appreciated boxed instead of bottled water that was always available in-room at no extra cost. But the thing we enjoyed most was the secluded Bali Bar, which was hidden away from busy Duvall Street. The live music was excellent and the. bar tenders were very accommodating. There are many hotels and places to stay in Key West but we would definitely return to this one. Highly recommend!

The staff at the hotel were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. We were right in the middle of the old district which had many many places to explore. Hotel had a wonderful hidden pool with live music/bar next to it in case we just wanted to relax after exploring all day.

The hotel front desk recommended a parking lot that was convenient and affordable.
Regarding the room:
- Location - literally 50' from live music that played until 11pm.
- AC - The AC fan ran constantly with no apparent
