Peaceful and beautiful

If I could give the Lakehouse Inn 10 stars, I would. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. The staff is lovely and very attentive. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome cocktail. Pastries and brownies, along with tea and coffee were always available. Our room was immaculate, especially the bathroom where we had a double sink and huge walk in shower with the best showerhead! The Inn is set on a beautiful and healthy lake. On our second day we had a delicious breakfast on the patio with a peaceful view of the lake. We met Kurt, the owner, and found him charming and attentive. I should also mention that Lenox is five minutes away, and of course Tanglewood. We will definitely return.

Terrible breakfast

Considering the price of a room here the breakfast was substandard. It was the kind of generic food you might get at a buffet at a Days Inn. The toast was like cardboard. And nothing had any flavor. When you pay that kind of money for a room you expect better quality food for breakfast. Only plus was sitting outside by the lake to eat.

We'll be Back

Perfect. Really. I don't say that about many places. Lakehouse Inn was exactly what we wanted -- a comfortable bed and breakfast on a lake. The grounds are beautiful. There are decks around the first and second floors for sitting, reading, gazing out. Down a short flight of stairs is a grassy setting and a dock to enter the lake. Kayaks and those boards you stand and paddle on are available. As well as life-preservers. Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the patio with gorgeous views of the lake. Coffee, pastries, changing choices of pancakes, waffles, egg dishes, and yogurt with granola or oatmeal. Very clean. Airy. Windows open. Cotton sheets. Completely refurbished from what was -- I guess a rather notorious history. The setting near Lenox and Stockbridge and all the cultural stuff -- Tanglewood, The Mount, Shakespeare and Co, the Norman Rockwell Museum, mountains and hiking, great restaurants.... We'll be back.

Highly recommend The Lakehouse Inn!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Lakehouse Inn!
From the moment we arrived, Lori and the entire staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They made us feel right at home and were so informative about all of the amenities available.
There was something for everyone—from relaxing by the lake and paddleboarding to enjoying the fire pit in the evening. And the fabulous breakfast included each morning was the perfect way to start the day. Everything truly was a 10/10!
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning for another visit. Highly recommend The Lakehouse Inn!

Idyllic stay

Every guest is made to feel truly welcome in this beautifully located inn beside the lake. The adult only age limit leads to a calm and peaceful retreat that is also close to all the attractions of the Berkshires. Having stayed once, it would be impossible not to want to return again and again.
