Beautiful hotel for relaxing stay!

We love the Clifty Inn! It’s a scenic spot and full of beautiful views. We love walking the grounds, have taken fun hikes and enjoy the atmosphere of the inn. We often play games in the lounge area in the evenings, and our kids love the pool.

Easter Brunch

We had reservations for Easter Brunch at 1:00. We had to wait in line at the service desk for about 15 minutes to pre-pay. ( The women at the counter were also tasked with answering phones.) Our hostess seated us in the “dining room “ and told us that unfortunately the buffet was in a different room. We would have to make multiple trips to another room and carry our plates back to our seats. The tables in the “buffet room “ were beautifully decorated with table cloths, stemware and decanters of tea and lemonade. Our table had nothing. It was disappointing. We all paid the same price and it wasn’t cheap but the other room was much nicer. The food was ok but the desserts were lacking. I would not recommend for Easter Brunch.

We are so sorry that you were not able to set in the main dining room, some of our first seating guest did not leave to open up the tables, again I apologize for the inconvenience.

Spring Break Trip

Recently stayed here with my daughter and grandchildren for a short Spring Break Getaway. We stayed in a river view balcony room which was great. No issues with the room but they do need a better selection of TV stations. The pool does need work but they are getting ready to do that. Ate three meals in the restaurant. See my separate review under the restaurant. Will definitely be back.

Overview

Clifty Falls Inn is very relaxing and a great getaway. The room was cozy but very dusty, hand prints on the tv, and tons and tons of cobwebs hanging around the perimeter of the room. Shower heads didn’t work properly. Otherwise, food was great and comfortable

Sorry but I will be looking at others hotel options for our next visit. The Vests

We have been going to Clifty Inn for many years but after our visit August 8, 2025 it will probably be our last. We had the river view suite on the 4th floor and the room temp did not drop below 73 ever though we set the thermostat to 68 until about 2 am. The handheld shower was broken the extra lock on the entry door was broken. They have taken out all the regular coffee makers and replaced them the K cup machines. The pool area is in dire need of maintenance attention. All but 1 of the ice machines have been removed. For what we paid for our room we will be checking out other places to stay when we want to go to Madison Indiana. The whole inn is need of remodeling. The food in the restaurant is ok but I think better options can be found in the town of Madison.

I am so sorry to hear you did not have a good stay. The handheld showers have all been replaced since your stay. We were waiting on the parts to arrive. I will check into the extra lock not working. I am sorry you did not like the K cup machines that is what most of our guest are requesting. The pool area is getting a 2 million dollar renovation start in April 2026. I hope you will give us another chance. Thank you for letting us know of issues in the rooms.
