Exterior doesn't look very pretty, but the room was remodeled recently and was clean. Location is right on US 13, so there is some road noise. Overall, a comfortable hotel for a good price.

AVOID! Terrible customer service

Chose this Budget Inn by Oyo on Hwy 13 in Nassawadox, VA, as we needed a pet-friendly stopover for a night. On Dec 25, I made a reservation online directly at the Budget Inn website for Dec29. The confirmation in the system showed Dec28, I immediately cancelled. If I hadn't noticed that, I would have been charged for a no-show and not had a reservation when we arrived on Dec29. Rebooked and same thing happened. Called the motel directly. Very abrupt man assured me that Dec29 was showing in system. Ended up having to cancel travel plans and reservation on Dec27 at approx 11am, more than 48 hours prior to planned arrival. Refunds for both reservations requested. Email confirmations for both cancellations indicated a cancellation charge. What? I've never experienced that before.
On Jan2, I called the 800# as no refund was showing on my credit card. They assured me they were 'escalating with priority'. Received a callback shortly after, rep assured me that they were refunding the second reservation, and that the 'team is working on' the refund for the first cancellation. Hours later received an email denying refund on second reservation due to 'policy'. No explanation of policy is offered in the email. When reservation was made, website clearly stated that if cancellation was made before 9am on day of reservation, charge was 100% refundable. So what is this policy they refer to?
Called 800# again on Jan3, rep assured me that she is 'escalating with priority' and that I should receive a call in 24-48 hours.
I have disputed these charges through my credit card.
The reps at the 800# have been pleasant to deal with, unlike the rep at the motel itself on Dec25. I hope that this situation gets resolved soon. I expected that there would be instant refunds for both cancellations. I have never in decades of travel encountered such issues with reservation changes or cancellations. Between the glitch in the booking system that confirms for incorrect dates, the mysterious cancellation charges, and the work needed to get refunds, I will never book an Oyo property again.

We stay one night and it was a perfect place to stay for one night. Owner was nice and helpful, Helped us with the AC as we couldn't figure out how to start it. It was perfect for a one night stay. Beds where find,
