Not a second time
We stayed there for two nights over the 4th of July.
The rooms were okay but very dated. The price-performance ratio is not right at all. Too bad, the location is great.
Our daughter had a problem with the room key, and we had to wait 1.5 hours with a small child who was hungry!
No discount at all, nothing!
The receptionist at check-in was unfriendly

This place goes downhill every single year. We stay with a group for Christmas for the last 15 years. Wallpaper is peeling, you are charged for a “resort fee” but the pools aren’t even always working. Dining is subpar. Rooms are very dated and getting worse every year. I think it’s time for our family to move on from thumper pond.

I am not a person who gives bad reviews TILL THIS ONE !!!
We arrived early evening. After unloading our belongings we left the room. When we came back the key card did not work.
We went to the desk & the desk clerk made us a new key. This happened 3 times. Then the desk called maintenance.
They came from home? about 1/2 hour. The guy arrived with yet another key that did not work.
He went and returned with some tools that did NOT get us into the room. All our belongings including our cell phones were locked in.
After he was unsuccessful another maintenance guy came with a drill. By that time I had been sitting on the floor in the hallway 2 hrs.
I finally went to the front desk to ask for another room without our belongings.
After an exhausting process they broke the lock & retrieved our belongings.
When we finally got settled it was too late to eat dinner. Too tired to do anything we went to bed.
We were told the room stay would be comped. It was NOT. They did remove the resort fee.
A room that cost us $195. If they had not changed us for our stay we would have understood. Problems happen.
The general manager said he could not comp every room for these basic complaints.
I asked for the contact info for the owner. I was given an email address. I emailed the owner. 1/2 hour after I sent a very polite email. I was block to this address. Very, very poor Customer Service. Does the owner even want anyone to come back? Good luck don’t go there.

Find another place!
So unimpressed by this place! We are here now. I have a 3,4, & 5 year old. Wanted to surprise them with the water park! No working water slides…the rooms were so so, we also had no wi-fi in our room and it was SOOOOO loud above us that my kids couldn’t fall asleep. Horrible experience.
We called the front desk and were told the maintenance guy left for the day, so we are SOL. Just crappy all around!
