Renovations are Lovely

I want to give this hotel some love because I was honestly hesitant to stay here based on the reviews I had read—and I am super glad I booked here anyway! Yes, the hotel is currently being refurbished. My floor (6) was totally finished and absolutely beautiful. I had a corner room with views of two sides of the city, including the Capitol.
There is a little dust but I never noticed noise. I did have an issue at check in with my card not working for parking but someone walked with me to make sure it worked once they reprogrammed it (I think the other person at the desk simply forgot to).
The workout area was a good size. It says it opens at 6am, but I was able to use my key to get in at 5:50am (was in town for a conference so had a lot of early mornings).
Speaking of conferences, this was a very short walk to the Convention Center. It was just over a block, and there was Cafe Nero for amazing coffee on the way.
You could also walk to the Capitol, train station and Providence Place (huge mall). I would totally stay here again, especially nice the are totally finished with the renovations.

Really nice place... terrible a/c

I really like this hotel, esthetically... comfy carpeted hallways, a nice, refreshing clean smell, and we had a nice-sized room on the top floor (7th) all the way down at a corner. I believe we had a view of the south and east.
But what pissed me off about room 701 was the air conditioner. We had it set as low as it could go, 66F, and I figured maybe it was warm in there because of the sunlight flooding in. I closed the curtains and we left to see WaterFire.
It was nice to be located not far from that area, because it started to rain about an hour into the WaterFire experience. But once we got back, I realized that the problem with the a/c was NOT the sunlight. In fact, I realized that ALL NIGHT LONG, and my sleep was pretty bad. Gonna suck to drive back to NYC today. Get that caffeine-gun ready for me!
We ordered a delivery from Sakura, which was pretty far, so it took an hour to receive it. That's ok. But I wish I realized that I had to get dressed again to go downstairs to pick up the food in the lobby, because the hotel does not allow deliveries up to the rooms. I think the policy is fine and understandable... but keep this in mind so you don't wind up like me.
The hotel deserves more than the 3 stars I gave it, but when you cheap out on something as important as a/c... I draw the line there.
I would definitely return if I was guaranteed a better a/c here in the future.

Great stay at the Courtyard by Marriott

I stayed here for 1 week, the room was great, clean and tidy, enough space for me, I used the gym, has all the basics there for a good workout, i didn't use the eating facilities so i cant comment on that, they had a vending corner which was good for water, sweets etc, the hotel is very central which is handy, so although it can get noisy at night i knew this before hand and to be honest it wasn't that bad and if you have had a really busy day each day like i had then you wont have problem getting to sleep, i would definitely stay here again. Really enjoyed it.

Room was very clean. Checking in was pretty easy checking out took a little longer but overall very good experience

Water was out for a while while we were there, which was the only inconvenience.
