Considered other area hotels and decided to use the CP hotel for the early park entry. The desk staff was exceptionally knowledgeable and helped us make many decision to plan our days. They consistently impressed me. The hotel is fairly standard. Kids liked the pool with late hours. The rooms were quiet. No breakfast, but McDonalds is walkable. 👍

First and foremost I think they need to be more clear that your stay does not include parking at cedar point amusement park, even when buying a ticket package. On their website it should somewhere clearly state parking for the park not included, the only thing about parking states parking included with full in and out privileges, but that refers to the hotel. This can be confusing for guest and the hotel website should be more transparent. The beds were FIRM! And the bedding top blanket was as thin as the sheet itself, I ended up having to go out and buy a blanket for sleeping. The room was dusty and you could tell they just do a surface clean and they don’t really get into the nitty gritty. The location was great and the pool area was good. The staff was friendly. I would not stay here again you could easily get a better room somewhere else and still be close to the park and there’s plenty of ways to get deals into the park online.

Shower didn’t work well. One of the beds was broken. Would definitely not stay here again. We were there for the park so we weren’t in the room much. We just dealt with it but disappointing for a hotel associated with the park.

Party Time Central

Do Not Stay Here if you need to sleep or enjoy any downtime when you visit Sandusky. The hotel is out of control with guests partying in the hallways, children running up and down and banging on doors and nothing can be done by the hotel property. Towels and linens were pretty cheap but new towels provided each day. I was very disappointed based on the cost and affiliation with Six-Flags parks.

Great location, front desk and store staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff were not friendly and noisy in the halls. There were several sports teams there whose parents let the kids run amok in the halls at all hours and left the courtyard area a mess with trash and towels. I felt bad for staff that had to clean up after them. I feel like staff could have stepped in to keep the kids from disturbing the entire hotel.
