Great Stay!!!

We really enjoyed our stay in October!! We stayed in the Washington Cottage. We were visiting our daughter who goes to William and Mary. The cottage was nice and cozy. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the outside views! You felt like you were out in the country and not in the city. It was conveniently located and not to far from the Williamsburg colonial area. Gary was great! He checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!!! We highly recommend it!!!

Excellent B&B post-COVID

Our family of 5 stayed in the Wilson Suite, which was perfect for us. Located on the top floor, it's two bedrooms separated by a bathroom and 'dressing' area. The main room had a queen sized bed and the back bedroom had a full/queen and a single bed. The back bedroom also had a decently sized small fridge/freezer which easily holds sodas/beer, waters, and kept leftovers in.
There is a single tv in the room with basic Cox cable, our kids mostly watched Nick Jr, so it was just fine for us. I enjoyed seeing the cows in the field from the room and my kids love playing with the dog, Penny.
Ample storage area/dressing area with shelves, clothing rack, extra towels, cups, and even a small fan. We stayed during the summer and the back bedroom had a window AC unit and I did great with the small fan in the main bedroom, and I get hot and sweat a bunch in the Wiliamsburg humid summer heat. Although there is just one bathroom in the Wilson Suite, there is another bathroom in the hallway, which was a blessing when the kids were using the one in our room.
Since it's still barely post-COVID, the War Hill Inn is not serving breakfast at this time, but we did just fine. They provided coffee with a Keurig machine in the dining room and we could bring food or eat in the the dining room. Most of the time we either had breakfast bars in the room or went out to the various breakfast and pancake houses in the area or ate leftovers from dinner for breakfast the next morning.
Easy to find off Longhill Road and it's a very quick drive to the Monticello shopping center and New Town area. Very easy drive to several places to eat and most of the main attractions from the area.

Great location. Great hosts.

We stayed in the first floor room and very much enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was not what I was use to for an expensive B&B. The location is about 15 min from Historic Williamsburg and Jamestown. We would return.

Loved it here.

We had a great stay and loved the inn. It was very comfortable and Will was welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in the Jefferson Cabin - the fireplace was wonderful. Would definitely stay here when visiting again.

Back in time.

Fantastic getaway, makes you feel like you have gone back in time. Property is great as are the owners. Good food for breakfast and the accomodations are great. We did not stay in the main guest house but in one of the two separate houses.
