The location of this hotel is great if you are needing to be closer to WCU. It's across the street from WalMart and a few other food options as well. The hotel is a very nice, newer looking property. Check is was easy, and the front desk clerk was very friendly and even came up to our room at 10 pm to switch out a cable box that was not working. Rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was a little lacking, not many options, but it is free. I would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast menu was meh. The staff was very nice and friendly. Air conditioning was great my room was nice and cool.

Not a great stay

I stayed this hotel yesterday. It was an overnight business trip. I walked in the room and it looked clean. I went in the bathroom and there was a piece of toilet paper wadded up on the floor. There was also no toilet paper in the bathroom. I talked to the front desk and they said that the could give me some to take upstairs because it was only two people working and they couldn't leave to take care of it themselves. The next morning I went down for breakfast and it was ice cold. I decided to check out and asked for a receipt printed out and the girl at the front desk said I booked with a third party she can't give me a print out. Asked again telling her who was asking because they have clients stay there all of the time and she said, " Like I Said, I Can't Give You That! I said, "Okay" and left. I have called since yesterday morning to discuss all of this with someone else and the hotel phone doesn't work. It goes to a cell phone. This whole situation was frustration.

HUGE SAFETY Concern!

Arrived to check in and there was nobody at the front. Called twice and knocked on the office door with no response. Waited around and before I was going to leave to go back home (3.5 hrs away) another guest came to check in. We both waited and he went and found someone in the back in scrubs who said they would find someone to help us. The staff member ended up walking off the elevator and said she was fixing a TV. Nice young lady checked me in. We went to our room checked it over and found some cleaning issues. She had a line so I decided to speak with the front desk when we came back from dinner and a Walmart run for Lysol wipes. She was there when we got back and said she would give us a different room when I showed her the pictures. She went to the room and said there was luggage in the room which we never took in. I asked could I see so we walked to the room together and it was like someone moved in. I tried my key and it turned red. Immediately I became uncomfortable because someone else was in the room we were checked in and I had just left from getting the new room. She said she had not checked anyone else in that room and didn’t know what happened. I was hoping I didn’t leave anything small in the room and fortunately we didn’t bring in our luggage yet. The second room had what looked like blood stains in one of the beds so she moved us again. None of the rooms had proper cleaning but I was tired and went to Walmart across the street after the first room so I could clean it myself. Got into the third room and the TV didn’t work. Front office and a guy that helps them out with maintenance came to look to no avail. I was told the manager, Melanie would call me this morning. I have not heard from her and was told she’s on call for issues during the weekend. This experience was a 2 out of 10 because the front office lady was polite and tried her best.

Always enjoy staying here when we are in town to visit our WCU college kids. Excellent location!
