The amount being charged for this booking and the fact it was 'non-refundable' should have been more then ample warning of what was absolutely a terrible 'partial one-night stay'. The check-in person at the desk and the A/C in the room were the only positive things about this experience. I checked in after 3 PM, then went to grab great mexican food at one of my favorite places in all of AZ. Upon return, I entered the room to find the room condition and amenities as 'absolutely deplorable' (I have photos to forward to reinforce that). I tried to go to sleep at 9:30 PM but ended up leaving the property at 3 AM.
I would try to ask for a refund of the One Key cash spent for this stay but I know that won't happen. What should happen (and may still happen) is AAA Arizona, AZ and Tucson Better Business Bureau, Tucson Chamber of Commerce, AZ and Pima County Dept of Health being contacted about the condition of the property. Next, a Hospltality or Investment Group should take over the property to do a complete renovation of it, or bulldoze it down to the slab and start over. The location at the SW corner of Grant and I-10 frontage road is prime, but the property is a disaster. The multi-star (4.6 out of 5) rating they posted and the submitted photos to list w Expedia/Hotels.com are as false as can be (original photos when property opened?)

Would not recommend. Very run down. Many of the rooms have condemning notices on the doors. Non smoking rooms have very strong smoke odor. Room was dirty. Cockroaches in the bathroom. Cigarette burns on the bedding. Smoke detector had been removed from the room. Damaged drapes that do not fully cover windows. Front desk staff very rude.

We got to the hotel and went to the front desk, It stunk, people are drinking at the desk. Walking around it looks like drugville or worse. The people made us feel very uncomfortable. We went into the room. We had to use the phone flashlights to see. The lights did not work in there. No toilet paper, no towels. The room stunk.the beds were bad and collapsing. The beds had cigarette burns in them. We left and didn't care about our refund. They also refused it.

Bad experience and scary situations here.

I stayed here for a few months and the rooms should be condemned as everything is just falling apart and the roach problem is ridiculous. As for security it's a joke the short little man Adrian that claims he's not only security but manager as well but can't manage anything let alone his relationship here as he's a tenant as well. I feel they should demolish this place and start fresh as the reputation here has just got down hill with drugs, murders and so on. They definitely need to hire people with verified working experience as security/manager is a drug dealer here and seeing and overheard he's addicted methamphetamine himself and needs psychological help and Harry needs to open up his eyes and get rid of this rent a cop/dealer and his boyfriend Micheal as well, I don't have problems with anyone here but Adrian has short man syndrome and needs help.

The owner was very accommodating & woke up & checked my brother in at 3 am , they don’t have phones in room the area is unsafe but they allowed dogs . I booked for brother who is a disabled veteran whose house was vandalized & robbed repeatedly & police sauce it was unsafe for him to be there as he’d been beat up by homeless addicts who stay at shelter behind his home. I am grateful that they accosted him & properly cr was very reasonable
