Amazing two night stay for a Funeral. Thanks Cristal & Kathy T! YOU ROCK!

I am a Marriott Associate from another Property in Estero, Florida. I came up for a Funeral in Fort Meade / Bowling Green area. From Check in to Check Out I had an amazing experience. While I had a few issues with the room, I was extremely happy. The bed was extremely comfortable and the Pool felt AMAZING. Cristal (3p-11p lady) checked me in and she met my needs for Feather free and my request to do a Late Check Out & Higher Floor. When I had my issues, she went above and beyond using Marriotts LEARN Model and emphathized with me and even had added Free breakfast on the reservation (I overslept so I didn't use it). Kathy T (Night Audit) was the first one I had went to about something on my first night and resolved it right away. Both of those staff members were extremely professional and made my stay extra special.
I'm one that always writes reviews and I will give Credit where Credit is due. I especially understand this as a Front Desk Agent myself. Going above and beyond really does make the extra difference in someones stay -- especially if you don't know what they may be going on in their personal life.
Thank you for the Hospitality. I'll make sure to call Marriott and give my compliment to you guys officially so management has it! If I'm in the area again, -- I'll be sure to stay again! God Bless and thank you!

Clean, modern newer hotel with a bistro, bar and good service

I’ve stayed at this newer Courtyard a few times and each time has been great. New, modern and sleek design and property is very clean. Check in is always smooth. They have a nice fire pit area. This location also offers a Starbucks. I don’t like that there is no free coffee other than what is in your room. They also have a full bar area and bistro for dining and drinks which is very nice. They also offer a small market with snacks and basic travel necessities. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. I love that the rooms have a refrigerator and a microwave. Legoland is right across the street so it’s definitely convenient if you’re visiting the park. Restaurants and limited shopping options are nearby such as TJMaxx. Overall I feel this property is a great value and offers comfortable accommodations so I will continue to return.

"Threatened With Eviction Over a Payment Issue That Didn't Exist"

I have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced treatment like I received at this property.
During my stay, a reservation adjustment was needed so I could pay with my own Marriott Bonvoy card. Although the issue appeared to be resolved at check-in, I was later confronted regarding a supposed payment issue.
The manager, Michael, informed me that my credit card was "a card that gets declined all the time" and threatened to remove me from the property. This occurred in front of my family and another guest.
The problem? My card had not been declined. It has never been declined and Michael had no grounds to make that patently false claim. Adding insult to injury, Michael spent 20+ minutes trying to pull up 'evidence' of these non-existent card declines, which never materialized.
This was a blatant lie based on Michael's error. What concerns me is Michael's aggressive and unprofessional manner in which the situation was handled, along with the refusal to verify the facts before accusing a paying guest of having a payment issue.
I was in town attending my grandmother's funeral and found the entire experience humiliating and unnecessary.
I have submitted a formal complaint to Marriott Corporate and hope future guests receive better treatment.

Very convenient to access LegoLand and the staff and Hotel was amazing!
