Nice room with a restaurant that has a great ocean view. Room was clean and place was quiet. Breakfast by the ocean was enjoyable.

Run down and unkept

I was shocked. I paid $240 a night and expected a nice hotel. We had the king suite with the jetted tub. We didn’t even trust the cleanliness of this hotel enough to even use the tub. What a waste of money. I had read reviews on this place stating it was dated. I was expecting dated. However it was run down, unkept, gross. Our friends who stayed in a VRBO even texted us in the morning to see if we were still alive. It is a creepy hotel. It could be so nice. It has so much potential. But they do not upkeep this place, which is a shame. Don’t stay here if you are used to even semi decent hotels! If you love Motel 6, then you’ll love this place. Also, the only lock on the bedroom door to the outside hall opens with a keycard. So anyone with a key could get into your room even with you lock it at bedtime. Which was creepy because we locked our key in our room one day and my husband went to get a new card. They just asked his hotel room number and gave him a new one. No verification that it was actually our room.

Beautiful location, but not worth the price.

Great location for a very poor hotel. For $400 a night, no AC, vending machines were broken, elevator wasn't working the second day, there was no shampoo or conditioner, all the coffee in the room was decaf and the tools were like sand paper.

HIGH ICK FACTOR, WORST SERVICE

I can't recommend this lodging. I've been coming for years. Previous visit was questionable as I had allergic reaction to pets in a no pet building. Front desk said it happens that people sneak pets. OK.
Fast forward to this visit. We received a smelly. BO ridden, stale, suffocating room with a nonfunctioning window on a property that had recent renovation. We switched rooms, not without a hassle and went from 2 queen's to 1.
The bathroom was nicely renovated, but no amount of paint and carpet covers run down.
As for service, the behavior of the bartender Heather towards handicapped people was egregiously offensive. Until I made a scene and refused to purchase a drink at all, she agreed to my request for someone to carry my drink up stairs. I was chastized and reminded that they don't serve upstairs above the bar. And don't tell anyone. So I am. Telling. I tipped. I didn't expect it for free. Many complaints about her in reviews.
The level of service from this visit sealed the deal not to return. Pretty much ruined our stay.
Views are great. Service terrible. As for the room , meh. Highest ICK factor twice now. So done with this place.
I've posted once before about this place with 5 stars. . Things have changed for the worse. Now they get 1. 0 if I could. Air quality is toxic. Run.
