Hoeveld House

I had a really great experience staying at Hoeveld House. The property is really beautiful and was a quiet oasis to go back to each day after work. My room was very comfortable and spacious, and the food was wonderful. The breakfasts in particular were out of this world! The staff were friendly and attentive, and overall, I would definitely return.

A gem in Johannesburg

For our tour in Botswana, we flew over Johannesburg and stayed 2 nights at Hoeveld House. It is a former private house in the beautiful and well-kept neighborhood of Sandton. The hotel has only about 8 rooms, all of which are very large and tastefully decorated. It is advisable to book half board, as the hotel is located in a purely residential area and one can only reach restaurants by taxi or rental car. However, the half board is very worthwhile, as meals are served individually in the dining room, including wine.
Hoeveld House has a stunning garden with a pool, where one can excellently relax after the journey.

2nd visit and still a wonderful place to stay in Cape Town

Fantastic property and fantastic Host. Room was amazing as was breakfast. Convenient for everywhere and very safe and secure. Relaxing grounds with lots of choices to sit and enjoy the view. Would give more stars if possible. Cannot fault in any way. This review was left in 2023 and have returned for our 2nd visit. Am delighted to say nothing has changed and would give more than 5 stars if possible

Grandios

Hoeveld House
The best decision for our short stay in Johannesburg. The shuttle service organized by the hotel picked us up reliably from the airport and brought us safely to this beautiful boutique hotel in Sandton. Due to our early flight we arrived at 9 am. Although our booked room was not ready, we were kindly provided with a small room for showering, changing and storing our luggage – a service we greatly appreciated.
We had booked a larger room and were overwhelmed: In addition to a separate dressing room, it had two spacious bathrooms, one of which additionally with a bathtub and magnificent views of the extensive tropical garden.
In the evening we enjoyed a bottle of delicious red wine from the bar on our private balcony and looked out into the atmospherically lit garden, which – apart from the gentle chirping of the birds – radiated an almost limitless calm.
The four poster bed was fantastic, the mattresses perfect. Breakfast was also excellent – served in a light-filled room with an open patio door and views of the greenery of the tropical garden.
Our special thanks go to Andrew who allowed us to check in early and runs this stately property with so much care. You feel like you're in an elegant private residence from a bygone era, without sacrificing modern comforts.
We can highly recommend this place without restriction

Super stylish, comfortable with stunning views of Camps Bay

The property is immaculate and situated with superb views over Camps Bay. Every detail has been considered at this stunning guest house; it's stylish and comfortable, which was very much appreciated. We used the house as a base to explore Cape Town, Table Mountain, and the surrounding areas. Only wish we had longer! Thank you
