Great stay

We stayed here for a night, it was a really nice, clean place. The price was amazing for what you get, so affordable but still comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful but damp

The location is beautifully located in the forest, near the starting point of the kingfisher trail. This walking trail is a true natural gem, following the river to a magical waterfall while coming accross several wild monkeys and deers so close you can almost pet them.. and singing birds all around :) the staff is overall friendly, with a cozy bar to get aquainted with other guests, dinners and breakfast to attend when desired. The rooms were clean but damp, smelling after mold, the entrance was rather untidy with the room and couches smelling after dogs from the staff (although I did love their presence). In general it was clean but the seats should definitely get washed more often! Apart from this a beautiful creative alternative backpackers hostel.

Peaceful Family Stay at Fairy Knowe Backpackers

Thank you for a peaceful and easy stay. Our family was well received upon arrival, our room was comfy and showers hot. Had some lovely conversation with others in the kitchen. Will definitely come back- with and without the kids.

Bedroom set up was lovely. Staff very friendly. Quiet surroundings.Kitchen for cooking needs better light.

super peaceful, one of my favourite hostels in SA

What a relaxing place. After the business of Plett. Bay and Krysna, I'm loving this peaceful quiet place. Drinking a glass of wine overlooking a peaceful river while the seabreeze comes in from the ocean. Easy walking distance to the beach and the Kingfisher trails. They have live music as well, but it's down the hill (apart from the dorms) so you can come and go as you wish, enjoy the company and drinks but also head to a quiet place to sleep. Highly recommend!!
