Good food with beautiful location

Good food with beautiful location. Both lunch and dinner are of good quality. Extra good on starters and dessert. One of the best located hotels in northeastern Skåne. Overlooking the sea and close to Åhusbryggan. Spa is small but very good. Close to bus connections.

Bad experience.

I was at Åhus seaside spa day with lunch and I can not recommend their spa or lunch in the restaurant. I have been to many spas, but must say I did not like this spa at all. No view at all , when you sat in the hot outdoor pool you just saw the edge of the pool. In the relaxation lounge you saw garbage cans and the parking lot. Everything was micro small. Where you sat to wait before the massage was so crowded and boring. If you compare Åhus seaside with the spa at Hotel Skansen in Båstad, I give Åhus spa 1 star and Hotel Skansen in Båstad 5 stars. Then lunch was very strange. They served fries to cooked char. All chefs should know that it should be served with boiled potatoes. Will not come back to Åhus Seaside spa.

The room we had was a family room and it was very clean and nice.
But .. there was no kitchen utensils at all, they were locked in a drawer and it costs more creating to get access to them .
Moreover to get a baby bed ( for two months old baby) costs 350 sek of extra.
There was literally NOthing for kids in a hotel, no a playground/ playroom/ toys or similar . And to mention there is not outdoor playground in the area around at all.
There is only a pool that is not part of the hotel but a separate entity that you pay a fee for .
So, despite you pay quite a lot to live in this hotel , prepare for much more extra fees for get basics in place .

Nice and fresh but skimpy

Nice and clean hotel. Very friendly staff. But - we went there to use their Spa. When we checked in Sunday afternoon we were told that it did not need to be booked in advance because there was plenty of space on Monday.
On Monday morning we were informed that the spa area was closed during the day due to some technical problem. We requested compensation for this when we checked out Tuesday morning. This they refused to give.
When we were renting bikes they had keys to two bikes, but one bike was missing.
With this we could not get to the restaurant we booked for the evening.
When we got home and unpacked it turned out that I left a pair of shoes at the hotel. They demand 250 SEK to send them to me.

Tack för att ni tog er tid att dela med er av er upplevelse. Vi uppskattar era fina ord om både hotellet och vår personal.
Jag vill samtidigt passa på att förtydliga några delar av er recension.
Det stämmer att vi under måndagen drabbades av ett oväntat driftrelaterat fel som påverkade våra pooler. Vi beklagar verkligen detta. Felet åtgärdades skyndsamt och spaavdelningen kunde åter öppna redan kl. 16.00 samma dag.
Ni skriver att ni reste hit för att besöka vårt spa. Samtidigt kan vi se att det inte fanns någon bokad spatid eller något spapaket kopplat till er vistelse. Inte heller efter att spaet öppnade igen mottog vi någon bokning eller önskemål om att besöka spaavdelningen. Vi har bemanning dygnet runt och hjälper gärna våra gäster med bokningar när som helst under vistelsen. Om vi inte kan leverera en bokad tjänst är det självklart för oss att se över en eventuell kompensation. I det här fallet fanns det däremot ingen bokning att utgå ifrån.
Ja, vi har 10 cyklar som vi hyr ut till våra gäster, en populär och trevligt transportmedel under de soligare dagarna här.
Våra cyklar lånas ut i mån av tillgång och återlämnas löpande under dagen. Vi beklagar att det inte fanns två lediga just när ni önskade hyra dem. Däremot kan vi tyvärr inte ta ansvar för transport till restauranger eller andra aktiviteter utanför hotellet. Hotellet erbjuder Taxi service och elsparkcyklar finns att tillgå runt om i hela Åhus.
Självklart står vi till förfogande för att se till att dina kvarglömda föremål hittar hem igen. Men relaterat till det finns det kostnader, det avser inte enbart frakten, utan även hantering, emballage, administration samt inlämning hos postombud. Era kvarglömda ägodelar är redan skickade och bör vara framme inom kort, troligtvis efter helgen. Glad att vi kunde vara till hjälp!

Skulle have booket direkte hos Åhus Seaside and not used Hotels.com.
The add on Hotels.com did not state that the spa wasn’t included - at a spa. It was only the room and breakfast. That should have been makes clear in the description. The learning is never to rent through this again.
There is a relax room, you visit at the end of the spa. It was fantastic! Unfortunately the personal is chatting fairly loud, kidding around, which sets the behavior of other guests, so the relax room was so relaxing after all. Too bad..
The view was amazing! Location perfect! Really nice restaurant and bar. Lovely wines and great bartenders.
First night, dinner was amazing. Second night not so much. Too much was made hours before, veggies were semi warm, cream potatoes cool, burger seemed like it came out of a microwave. But as I said, first night was amazing!
