Non-traditional hotel

If you are looking for a traditional hotel with easily accessible rooms and spacious bathrooms, or if you are tall or have difficulty getting around: this hotel is not for you!
If you are looking for an original, welcoming, well-located hotel with decor that invites travel and is steeped in history: go for it!
The breakfasts are hearty and offer a lot of choices.

Beautiful, clean rooms. Junior suite was spacious with very comfortable beds. The walls and doors are incredibly thick, so no noise gets through! The staff is so kind and helpful. Breakfast was very ample with delicious fresh fruits, yogurt, eggs, trays of cheeses and meats and even vegan options. Many breads and sweet muffins/breads with a number of small of gluten free crackers/breads, etc. Lovely! Staff was so attentive to our needs! Good strong coffee and lots of teas to choose from.
Street wakes up early with street cleaners and garbage pick-up, and some late night revelers, so if you're on the street side, maybe bring ear plugs?
We really enjoyed our stay!

Hotel Hellsten stay

I stayed a week at this wonderful hotel. Brilliant location to explore all Stockholm has to offer. Excellant breakfasts.

Nice location at good price

A cozy little hotel. With good rooms, even the small ones. Very nice bathroom. Maybe a little narrow bed for 2. Good breakfast, although it opened a little late for me. Nice staff who aimed for good service and good mood. If you like Jazz, it's great! If you don't like jazz and are evening tired, it's a different melody;)

That's okay!

Slightly worn hotel but clearly fit for two nights. The fact that it is then 30° warm is not the hotel's fault. We had to borrow a fan that made it a little better.
Very good breakfast and good distance to metro.
