Bad experience

My room had a very old bed that creaked, and we slept poorly. I don't think furniture like this should be in a hotel. The room was very poorly cleaned. There were footprints on the floor, dirty faucets and sink, and a toilet with old film. There was a couple of centimeters of dust behind the TV and dust and mold on the windows behind the curtain. The shower vent was clogged with dust. The housekeeping service was very poor. The rest of the staff, reception, bar, and breakfast were all very nice and welcoming. I booked two nights, but we didn't stay the second night. I really like this chain of hotels, but this time we had a very bad experience.

Highly recommend if traveling with children.

Highly recommend if traveling with children. There were several playrooms for different ages, good food for the kids and the staff were super nice! The kids and we enjoyed it great.

Restaurant disaster

I have previously had very good experiences with Scandic, but unfortunately we will not go here again. The stay was more stressful than vacation.
We arrived at the restaurant in good time, but despite that we didn’t even get to see the menu until three parties that came after us had already ordered. The children’s buffet felt like a good solution at first, thinking that the children quickly get food and are satisfied. Unfortunately, we were out of meat sauce, so we had to wait for it to be refilled. Once the sauce was ready, there was no pasta, so we had to wait again while new pasta was cooked. In total, it took about an hour before the children got their food, and those of you who have children know how difficult it can be to keep them happy for so long.
My lemon paste was also overcooked and tasted mostly of flour, which was disappointing.
After dinner we tried to get in touch with the staff to pay. We sat there for almost two hours before finally asking our children to shout a little louder for someone to pay attention to us. Two people passed by and said "we'll be right there," but no one came. Meanwhile, the tables were all around full of dishes that were not removed. It gives a sad impression, especially when the restaurant wasn't even crowded.
The breakfast did not work very well either. There was a sign that you should wait to be placed, but after waiting for about 15 minutes without anyone coming we took a table ourselves. Here too many tables remained with dishes for a long time a table had untouched dishes for over 45 minutes.
As an analyst, I couldn't help but see the pattern. It felt like the staff lacked clear responsibilities and priorities. The focus was on filling plates and wiping clean at the O'boy station, while for example the pancake buffet for the children was empty. There simply seemed to be a lack of structure in the work.
I hope the operator takes this feedback seriously, reviews the procedures and listens to the guests’ comments. Sometimes the customer is actually right, and during our stay we unfortunately experienced several shortcomings that made the overall impression very negative.

Nice hotel

the location is very quiet, waling distance from train station. close by you find a large supermarket for quick purchasing. Typical Scandinavian hotel, efficient and simple design nice and warm atmosphere . Rooms are simple but you gt all you need. very clean..but if you stay more than one day you need to ask for the room cleaning . Service is nice and efficient. Great breakfast and a small pool with nice sauna. Nice boardgames available as well as ping pong...
