Quality as expected

The hotel is situated right at the edge of the Old Town, within a short walking distance to the railway station and with the famous Zytglogge Clock Tower just right round the corner. The reception is very capacious with plenty of seating and constantly busy during our visit there.
There is a terrace on the eighth floor – great for those evening drinks and admiring the lights of the city.
Our Suite on the sixth floor was very spacious and with ample wardrobe space, including a pull-out contraption, and great views over the city. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of seating around.
Tea-making facilities were provided. There was a Safety box and bottled water was provided in the fridge.
WiFi signal was excellent. TV had variety of foreign-speaking programmes.
Bathroom was spacious with a walk-in shower.
We didn’t try breakfast at the hotel considering the choice outside – there is even a COOP shop right next door where you can dine and get all you need.
Reception staff were very efficient and friendly.

Stayed on a Sunday night. No bar in the hotel open. Booked because the rooftop bar looked nice but was closed. Neither is the restaurant open on a Sunday. . Downstairs toilets were out of action. Delay to check in as room not ready at 3pm. Not very helpful staff. ( although the chap on check out was very friendly) Not worth the money. Not sure what plus means in this best western.

Hotel is very centrally located in the old town, an easy walk with luggage to the station, and right on top of two large supermarkets, Coop and Migros. The excellent air-conditioning was much appreciated during one of the recent heatwaves.
The room was quite compact - we were told it was an upgrade to a business room - but it was fine for a night or two, with a refridgerator and TV.

My favorite hotel in Bern – always a pleasure!

I stay at the Best Western Hotel Bern regularly and am happy to return every time. The central location in the middle of the Bern old town is ideal. Many sights, restaurants, and shops are easily reachable on foot.
The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I especially appreciate the pleasant atmosphere and the quiet night's sleep despite the central location.
A big compliment goes to the entire team: The service, whether in the hotel or in the Volkshaus restaurant, is consistently friendly, professional, and attentive. As a returning guest, I am always warmly welcomed and feel well taken care of. The breakfast is also impressive with a good selection and fresh products.
For me, the Best Western Hotel Bern is the first choice when I am in Bern. I can recommend the hotel without reservation.

Easy to walk to from the railway station and central to all the things we wanted to do in Bern. Welcoming staff and a very tidy room.
We really enjoyed it.
Three things to note:
1. The shower and toilet are behind reeded glad that can't be fully covered by the room dividers - you're always going to be a little "on display" in there
2. The lighting provides ambience. It isn't bright.
3. A bottle of still water and a bottle of dialing water in the fridge every day! And lemon water in the foyer. Greatly appreciated in the heat!
