Holidays at Brienz

This hotel is comfortable and with extraordinary views to the lake. The staff is very gentle, the beds really comfy and the croissants in the morning some of the best I've tasted in Switzerland! The whole hotel is themed about board games, as the owner is a game-creator himself. Superb. Besides, you can walk everywhere from it.
The restaurant has a splendid staff either, they even spoke in Spanish to me! :D And the food is really tasty with generous portions.
I do recommend this place to stay if you want to spend a good time in Brienz.

Amazing lake location

Excellent location right on the lake and a very nice owner who tries hard to help guests. Issues: room feels like you’re in the 60s- radio not a tv…. The room next to ours was technically an add on to our room and we could hear the Neighbor snore all night. Breakfast was horrible with little to chose from. We loved Brienz and i swam in the lake daily such as great town. Overall I am not sure if I would stay here again for those who do make sure you know what your getting

Hotel of Horror

We probably would have paid Fr. 200 again to avoid having to sleep in this lousy accommodation. We are not spoiled guests but this hotel is an imposition. We left the room unused. So much lovelessness and lick mer am A... mentality does not bring happiness.

back to the 60s

The shared toilet is not possible at all, the extra charge of CHF 40 for a toilet in the room is a disgrace.
Breakfast is very poor. The terrace is no longer accessible, holes in the planks.
Emergency exit through the window of our room. OK for us, not possible for other people on the same floor as the room door is closed at night.

Nice location , pleasant dinner

Our accommodation did not offer dinner and this restaurant was only open until 7.0 - remarkably early closing ! However we slipped in just in time and were able to order some nice supper served by friendly staff . What made the occasion was the beautiful view over lake Brienz from the terrace on a beautiful warm evening .
