Beautiful hotel, impeccable service, great food

We visited the restaurant of this exceptionally beautiful hotel on 31.12.2025 for croissants, coffee, and beer, and the experience was outstanding. The service was impeccable, the drinks were excellent, and the restaurant itself is truly elegant, offering stunning lake views paired with beautifully curated interiors.
The entire property exudes sophistication and charm. We had previously stayed at this hotel in 2023, and that experience was equally memorable. A hotel that consistently delivers refined hospitality, timeless elegance, and exceptional quality.

Decline of the selective place

Location and the building are beautiful but unfortunately these are the only positive assets of this hotel. In fact, I am the customer of the bar and restaurant since more then 30 years, it was always the pleasure to go there , kind of ritual but now the quality of the place really changed ...Since lets' say 2 years I observe the important decline of the service level and poor atmosphere . Last time I went there , nobody welcomed me in the bar... no flowers , dull impression ( all grey) , new bar counter with fake marble also doesn't help... ( fortunately the Concierge Adel was there always ready to help ).
I had a drink on the terrace ; no napkins , no snakes no saucers ..,
Also the behavior of the staff is not 5 stars staff behavior.
I also noticed that the atmosphere between the staff is not great any synergy.
Some ancient members of service staff left the place and unfortunately the hotel management didn't' care of recreating the cozy ambiance and welcome ritual.
.Following this transformation, also the clients level changed significantly .
The soft skills , knowledge of frequent customer's habits are the key points of the 5 stars hotels assets and it makes the difference and should be understood by the hotel administrators and management board.
I sincerely hope that the this great Hotel can be again the quality time selective Place.
I do not know the stay experience ( rooms ) quality as I never stayed at the hotel , this review concerns the bar and the restaurant only.

Excuses instead of service

It’s actually a lovely hotel in a magnificent location… We had booked a group event here that included an aperitif, dinner in the Grand Salle, and an overnight stay. Already during the planning phase, we noticed that the events department operates in a disorganized manner. That’s why we prepared everything for our event with particular care and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the events department and the front desk at the Beau-Rivage largely ignored our precise instructions. Despite clear written instructions, our requests were neither heeded nor carried out. One would expect the event management team at a hotel of this caliber to provide professional support throughout the planning process. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.
Given the numerous mistakes made by the hotel during our event, we would have expected an apology. However, none was forthcoming. Instead, we received lengthy emails full of excuses. Rather than taking responsibility, they even attempted to shift the blame for the hotel’s shortcomings onto us as customers. Mistakes can happen. However, from a 5-star establishment, we expect the professionalism and grace to accept responsibility for its own mistakes, rather than shifting the blame onto the guest. We will definitely not be booking here again.

The lake and its thousand shades

Excellent location and spacious, well-furnished areas, a high-level property with an adequate range of services. In-room amenities above average.

Beautiful hotel ideally located.

Great stay, very pleasant and professional staff. Only the soundproofing of the room in relation to the neighboring room is insufficient.
