Favorite place in Lugano Paradiso, kudos to the staff.

This small hotel is part of a social project and support employment for individuals that got sidetracked. You will not realize that, the project works and the hotel & restaurant are very nice, beautiful view of Lugano as a great bonus!

I expected more compensation for the defect mattress

Location, infrastructure, personnel fantastic
Reaction to defect mattress with a bad night as a consequence : really poor.
For a stay for 2 pers including evening meal, we spent more than 300.- but unfortunately waking up not in good conditions. To be fair, they offered a cappuccino

Fantastic!

We had booked this hotel as 1 night on the way: what a wonderful surprise, a real gem!! Super nicely located above Lugano with great lake and city views. The room was clean, very nice and spacious with great beds and good air conditioning.
The breakfast on the terrace is great with views over the beautiful surroundings the lake and the city. The choice of breakfast buffet is very large with many special dishes from their own garden, many types of bread and cheese, vegetable dishes, sweets, in short a buffet to feast on. We have already seen and tasted many breakfast buffets but this one is a category apart.
Unfortunately we didn't have dinner because Tuesday is rest day and the restaurant is closed.
This was hotel was a special and very beautiful experience, (also considering their philosophy, see their website), therefore we are going to enjoy a whole week there next year. I am already looking forward

If anyone in your party has mobility limitations, this otherwise wonderful place may not be for you. We had stayed here before and all went well. However, this time they had assigned us rooms that required climbing a full set of stairs - not a possibility for one person in our party. Apparently, their elevators do not reach many of the rooms. We were able to switch one room to a more accessible one, but incredibly the doorway to access it was open in one direction only during the hours the restaurant is in operation. As the manager explained it: so that restaurant patrons are spared the view of folks accessing their room. An alternate access exists, but it again comes with stairs or is not available when the conference room is in use. A clear warning about limited accessibility would be helpful at time of booking. According to the manager, had we called ahead, better arrangements could have been made but we did not know this was necessary.

Upscale ambiance, beautiful renovation of a historic mansion. Be aware that less expensive rooms have much less desirable views and your overall experience may well be impacted by this.
