Pleasant stay and convenient location
Very welcome and service in this Family Pension, comfortable room and bed, quiet location. The small pool to cool off after a hike was very nice. Very good meals and breakfasts. The place is really convenient to get around with the gondola to go down to the lake and train station or up to hike higher.

Another Comfortable Stay at Sporhotel Knobelboden
Me and my girlfriend have just returned from a lovely skiing holiday in Flumserberg. We stayed in Sporhotel Knobelboden and caught the gondola each day up to the resort (gondola only a 3 min walk from hotel). Although the hotel is basic, the rooms are very clean and the one we stayed in had been recently refurbished. Lovely warm shower and very very very comfortable beds! The continental breakfast is good and offers a wide selection of cereals, cheeses, cold meats, breads and pastries. I have stayed in this hotel 3 times now ( x2 in winter and x1 in summer) and would not hesitate to return if visiting the area again. The hoteliers are very friendly and the lady even set the breakfast out an hour early as we were leaving at 7am on our final day.

A very basic experience at a not so agreeable price
i' ve spent 2 nights at the Hotel Knobelboden, with my wife and 12 yrs old child.
Hotel position very good, close to the gondola. Anything else very basic: rooms and fixtures partially worn-out / broken (curtains, toilette sink). Hotel staff consisting of < 5 people there included the couple who owns the hotel. No taste at all in the hotel interior design and layout, that I would say sometime is even disturbing. To provide you with an example, the layout of the dining room is such that every table is provided with an extremely strong light centrally set above the table itself, so that it becomes really uncomfortable to sit at table without sunglasses. I' ve tried to un-screw the light bulb for avoiding the blinding effect of this badly set light but the hotel owner has come and set-back the light bulb warning me to leave it on!
The advertised sauna is set in a 16 sqm room with exactly 2 plastic long chairs . . . . not exactly what one would expect. The swimming pool is outside, covered with a removable structure. We asked to use the jacuzzi aside the pool and we were given greenlight for that. However we found the pool in disarray and we had to walk very carefully not to stumble in pieces of technical equipment here in there on the pool' s surrounding floor. Back to the food quality: very basic menu.

totally relaxing, good walks!
stayed for 4 nights , 2 adults and a child of 8.
Hotel is a two minute walk from the cable car but the hotel will collect you if you arrive by train in the evening.
We stayed in a comfort room with an extra bed on a bed and breakfast basis, husband had business to do on two days and the other was spent at leisure.
the hotel has a pool and hottub which is uncovered on hot days (very whilst we there!!), plenty of sunloungers and soft cushions.
breakfast is a buffet with breads, meats and cheese, yoghurts, cereals, fruit, croissants etc, nothing cooked but that was ok with us.
the hotel has a restaurant for lunch and dinner, although lots of schnitzel on the evening menu and a selection of tapas. Slightly more expensive than other restaurants we visited and food ok not fantastic.
Rooms are cleaned daily and are very comfortable, pillows a bit too soft!, no telephone in the room or tea/coffee making etc.
Lots of perfect walks all around the area for people of different fitness levels, straight outside the hotel. catch the cable car up to flumsberg for more restaurants etc and walks back down. fantastic scenery, and lots of birds to look out for.. All in this was good comfortable hotel with fantastic views and ideal walking country.

Au dessus du Walensee
Découverte de ce joli coin verdoyant du pays. Belle région de ski, de randonnées et VTT. Hôtel familial bien placé . Joli accueil, chambre traditionnelle mais propre et correcte. Parking gratuit devant hotel. Nous avons mangé au restaurant Carte de chasse délicieuse, vins de la région pour nous et personnel familial et organisé.
