Ok hotel with good location
We got upper floor towards backyard, so it was peacefull, except on Sat because of pride. But staff informed about the noise so it was ok.
Furnitures are nice in room and in lobby area.
We got handicap room, so it got more space than normal rooms. We would like to have some place for our clothes and things. And we didn't liked about tablet which one you have to use to change lights or courtains also. Check in is also via tablet, but staff will help with it. Staff is very young but helpfull and kind.
Shower worked well and water bottles is available at bar free of charge. A small fridge and safety box plus hairdryer will be found in the room. Plastic carpet floor was disappoint for us. Good connection by walk or by tram for all directions.
Bed was good for sleep. Breakfast we didn't use.

Really bad service and no AC
Extremely Disappointing Experience — Management Needs to Address This
Our stay at CitizenM Zürich was completely unacceptable. The air conditioning in our room was not functioning, and there was clearly no meaningful airflow coming from the system.
What was even more concerning was the response from the hotel staff. Staff members came into our room THREE separate times, and each time we were told that the air conditioning was on and working. It clearly was not. There was no discernible airflow, yet we continued to be told the system was functioning.
After three separate visits, this was no longer simply a maintenance issue. We felt we were being repeatedly misled rather than having the problem acknowledged and resolved.
We paid for a hotel room with functioning amenities and expected CitizenM to either correct the problem or provide an appropriate alternative. Instead, we were left in an uncomfortable room while repeatedly being told there was nothing wrong.
We have documented the room conditions and our interactions with hotel staff and are preserving that documentation as we formally escalate this matter.
This was an extremely disappointing experience and not the level of service or accountability we expected from CitizenM. I cannot recommend CitizenM Zürich based on our experience.

Great location with wonderful decor and friendly staff
Great location, super friendly international staff, very nice breakfast with made to order coffee bar that’s included in breakfast, modern decor in lobby that was super inviting and relaxing with nice music. Rooms a bit small but loved the amazing blackout shades.
Main critique is that they advertised air conditioning but rooms were warm in the heat wave and temperature not adjustable. Location perfect as walking distance to many restaurants, old town and lake.

Needs refurbishment
We are long time customers of CitizenM, having stayed here across the world. After being bought out by Marriott we were worried standards would fall. We’re sorry to say that it has. The hotel is dirty, rundown and staff look like they are fake smiling. It doesn’t have the same vibe and energy that CitizenM are known for. And worst of all, there was poo parks on the toilet, weird yellow stains on the bedroom walls, and there is an empty room next to the window, blocking our view from the street. Overall, it wasn’t a decent experience. We strongly feel CitizenM Zürich is in dire need of a renovation.
However, among all the poor standards, two people stood out for their incredible customer service and hospitality - Clara and Kristina.
Clara welcomed us during check in and subsequently served us on another day. She is just so skilled and natural at serving customer and making them feel like they are experiencing a premium service, it’s like being in a 5 star hotel. She is just absolutely brilliant!
Kristina is just as equally a superstar! She works super, super hard, is so full of life and incredibly friendly. Her hospitality is top class and she takes such good care of the customers! One of the best CitizenM reps we have met anywhere in the world. She is fantastically skilled at providing utmost excellence in customer service. Also, she looks like Iggy Azalea!

Excellent hotel just steps away from Old Town Zürich. Chic contemporary design, comfortable room, super friendly staff. Beautiful lounge with work stations and well stocked bar that serve food. Great location, easy access to shops, restaurants and transportation. Highly recommended!
