A real paradise and a golden staff
The bar / restaurant and beautiful, we drink good cocktails and eat well.
A great pool!
Special mention for all the staff who are really careful and super nice, and this folded in four to satisfy you..
We came at the end of the season (end of March/beginning of April) we do not regret! The weather was good and we had a sparsely filled hotel so good for us who were looking for peace (but who deserve more even if end of season)
We were able to meet and spend an evening with the owners who are very friendly and who helped me when I was in need!! Thank you for saving my vacation

Beautiful holiday on Mafia Island
Immediately the welcome by the hotel staff was incredibly warm ❤️.
The hotel is beautifully located on the beach where there is also a great hotel beach bar where we always like to end the day.
We have a beautiful (new) room with beautiful views of the beach/sea.
Breakfast is just great. The fresh fruit tastes so good, there are fresh smoothies every day, freshly prepared egg dishes, homemade peanut butter - in short - it's perfect.
Even the dinner at 25.00 Doller with starter, main and dessert is 100% recommended.
We also used the Laundry Service. That also worked great.
The whole complex is beautiful.
We would particularly like to highlight the indescribably friendly staff at the hotel. We travel a lot - but the friendliness in base camp surpasses almost everything we have experienced so far....
Mafia Island is an absolutely relaxed place where you slow down at the first minute....Pole, Pole...

Basecamp Mafia Island is a Lovely Resort
The rooms are beautifully appointed and extremely well equipped, with plenty of electrical outlets and USB ports—perfect for charging phones, cameras, and laptops. The bathrooms are a highlight, featuring spacious, high-quality showers large enough for two, all while enjoying the natural surroundings.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, which was a welcome convenience. The dining area is lovely, and the food is well prepared and consistently enjoyable. Breakfast, in particular, stood out with a well-executed buffet offering a great start to the day.
The resort is located directly on the beach, within easy walking distance of several excellent local restaurants serving fresh fish and lobster. The beach bar is a wonderful spot to relax, and the pool—uniquely designed as a circular pool with a waterfall at its center—is both attractive and relaxing.
Basecamp also does an excellent job organizing excursions, including unforgettable whale shark experiences, as well as snorkeling and scuba diving on the nearby reefs.
If you are traveling to Mafia Island, Basecamp Mafia Island is a fantastic choice and a resort we would happily recommend.
