Quirky lil place

2011 feb was when I was here and was throughly impressed , travelling alone for the first time to Thailand I felt completely safe here and met some likeminded travellers so we buddied up and went out one evening , the staff were super so I extended my stay made it 5 nights instead of just a stop over before moving on to look around Thailand , I loved the authentic feel of being in BKK here , it was close to all I needed so could absorb the culture , the room was clean , spacious and airy and definitely newly renovated on a budget it was more than I had expected , I enjoyed one day by the pool and it was quiet and peaceful which is what I like to read a book , tropical surroundings and away from the hustle and bustle , if you like to be amongst the hub although in a hidden peaceful Oasis this is your place , I am writing now as am looking to book again this time with my Mum safety and trust is paramount for this : )

Excellent

Really impressed with the hotel. Stayed in 4 other hotels in Thailand that week and this surpassed them all.
Tucked away down a side street, still walking distance to Khao San/Rambuttri area but lovely and quiet, you can even hear the faint jingling of the bells in the temple which is to one side of the hotel. Well lit down the side road and felt safe walking there alone.
Swift check in. Very helpful staff, gave me info pack with a map etc. Good security with swipe cards for access and you can take your key with you.
Room was very modern and bright. Huge comfy bed and bedding, TV, safe box, fridge etc and good blackout curtains. Bathroom was small but clean, lots of hot water and toiletries provided. AC seemed to be stuck on gale force mode but at least it worked!
There's a laundry room where you can use the washing machines, small gym and pool at the back.
Expect a 10 min walk to get to any restaurants or proper shops but definitely a notch up from other hotels.
Really impressed and would definitely come back. Wish I was able to stay for longer.

Nice stay

The hotel is situated close to Khao San road (5-10 min walk). At first, we were surprised and a little worried by the neighborhoods: small soi, local people basically spending their time in the street, groups of motorcycles,... but eventually, the surroundings ended up being just typical and safe. Our room had two separate rooms and a good sized bathroom. Clean, new furniture, spacious. We did not have breakfast there though it was a possibility. We used the swimming pool which was nice for the kids after a long day visiting temples and so on. The best way to commute to other parts of Bangkok is probably the boat. There are 2 piers very close to the hotel. Then you need to understand how the routes work and where the boats stop but that's another story...! I think this part of Bangkok is probably the one I'd go back, were I to stay in Bangkok again.

Reasonable mini hotel

This is a simple little place thats a 10 min walk to ratburri village. It wont win any awards but its cheap, tidy, has a pool, a small gym, laundry room and offers breakfast. The staff are very pleasant and i was allowed to store my luggage at the hotel until my flight departed at 01:00. Maybe could do with a detail spring clean.

A great budget hotel

This is a smaller hotel tucked away in a neighborhood with easy access to restaurants and main routes. The staff were all impeccable, the room was large and clean - with the exception of the poured concrete floor that had been somewhat beaten up, but if one overlooked the wear and tear, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The temps for our stay were hot - but with the humidity, according to the weather channel the 93 degree heat felt like 111! so the cool pool was wonderful treat after hard mornings sightseeing. The neighborhood the hotel sits in is very authentic. Lots of things are going on from street vendors and kids playing football, it looks a little chaotic at first, however don't let this put you off taking a walk around, even later at night. (for the type and price of the hotel, I don't think you could do much better, but I scored it a 4 star because it's not a 5 star destination)
