Chilled, clean, good location with nice staff
We are mid way through our stay at Krabi resort we are very happy with our choice.
The luxury grand rooms are great: set back into the trees, and wonderfully quiet. It is so lovely sitting on the balcony watching the butterflies and birds.
The rooms are spacious and kept clean. There are plenty of towels, both for showering and for the pool/beach.
The beds are very comfortable and spacious. Our 12 year old is on a separate bed which was organised with our booking without a problem.
Ok the hotel it is a little dated in places, and the area around the main swimming pool is a little tired and needs a repaint? but the area is clean, safe and the grounds are well maintained.
The staff have been very polite and welcoming. Everyone smiles and bows. Of course speaking a couple of Thai words will always help.
The food is really nice and it is well priced. You can eat at the swim up bar if you choose to, and can charge things to your room.
I had read some reviews about bugs etc but I havent noticed that being a problem. We do have a little lizard living with us, but he's cool and it is a tropical country! No different to having a house spider.
I would recommend Krabi resort as a lovely base for Ao Nang.

Not worth the money for the location…
Not with the money; way way way overpriced; food is average at best, grounds are in disarray.. The best thing going for this property is the beach access…

CRIMINAL
Horrific. FRAUDULENT and CRIMINAL. I have travelled extensively around the world and have never had such a terrible experience. I can overlook the deteriorating buildings. I even overlooked the COCKROACHES in my room. But the CRIMINAL staff went too far. They manufactured claims of dirty linens. When we complained a manager and 2 staff from cleaning came to inspect the room. They found nothing and apologized and reversed the charges. We were packed and left immediately afterwards. By the time we made it to the front desk, someone had gone back to the room and “found” a pillow case with a light spot. This apparently requires additional charges. They also chose to charge us for the bottled water we were told was complimentary (we touched nothing in the mini bar) after the bill had been settled. When we asked to see pictures of this “spot” or to go back to the room they refused. The staff is clearly trained to conduct this illegal activity. The manager on duty’s was absolutely criminal. I should also mention we were greeted on arrival with a large sex toy sitting directly outside our door. It sat there for 2 full days until my son kicked it over the railing in disgust. It then laid at the path below for 2 further days. I. could go on and on and have pictures of everything. It is the illegal and deliberate criminal activity that is most abhorrent. In reading reviews, I now see this is common practice at this resort.

An experience that changed completely after the upgrade
We stayed at the Krabi Resort as a family and, initially, the first "Deluxe" room we were assigned left us rather perplexed.
The room showed several signs of wear and some maintenance issues that, in our opinion, were not up to the images and expectations associated with the property.
We therefore politely reported our concerns to their reservation service via email, also documenting some of the problems encountered. The staff was helpful and offered us a room upgrade at no additional cost.
From that moment on, the experience changed completely.
The new room was perfect, clean, well-kept, and definitely more in line with our expectations. Kudos, therefore, to the property for listening to our needs and finding a concrete solution.
The real strong point of the Krabi Resort, however, is undoubtedly the location: directly on the private beach, in a very convenient area of Ao Nang, with restaurants, shops, and clubs easily reachable on foot.
The private beach is wonderful, especially for a family: having the sea in front of you and being able to alternate between the beach and the pool without having to take any transport is truly a great added value.
The pool is also very beautiful and particularly suitable for children, with pleasant spaces to relax during the hottest hours.
Our experience went from a rather negative first impression (we would have wanted to leave) to a truly pleasant vacation, thanks above all to the staff's willingness to resolve the room issue.
I recommend the Krabi Resort especially to families, but I suggest paying attention to the category and condition of the room assigned at check-in (avoid the deluxe ones). If something is not up to expectations, talk to the reception about it: in our case, they were helpful and concretely solved the problem.
Once the room issue was settled, Krabi Resort proved to be an excellent choice for our family.

Great location and a lovely property with room for improvement
We had a pleasant stay at Krabi Resort. The location is excellent, and the hotel itself has a lot of potential. The reception area looks impressive and welcoming, and the hotel has plenty of space and good facilities. The activities offered are also reasonably priced.
That said, I feel the property could benefit from some refurbishment and better maintenance, particularly around the lobby and certain common areas. The fans, for example, appear quite old and some were operating very slowly, which could be improved.
The staff were generally helpful, but I feel some of the front-desk and older staff members could benefit from additional hospitality training, particularly in terms of communication and interacting warmly with guests. The front desk is the first point of contact and really sets the tone for a guest’s experience.
The hotel also has so much space and potential that with a little more attention to presentation, service standards and breakfast offerings, it could become an even more outstanding property.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and especially appreciated the exceptional location. The hotel has a great foundation — with some upgrades and attention to service standards, I believe it could easily take the experience to the next level.
