Krabi Tipa Resort
Excellent location near the beach (although I would personally avoid the beach unless you want to lose your belongings). Rooms are located in several different buildings but a shuttle service is provided when checking in/out making it manageable with baggage, especially in the heat. Locking system to our room was very confusing, purhaps some investment in keycards like most properties worldwide have should be a priority for the management. Power to the room (including AC) only functions by leaving keyring in slot by door and this is welded so that you cannot remove the key from the keyring. This forces one to chose between having a cool room when they return or still having their possessions when they return, which is certainly a friction point if I were to return here again. Rates are low, staff are friendly and offered to return to clean our room later as we couldn’t leave yet. Deposit of 2000THB in cash was required on check in and not returned to us until the front desk could radio housekeeping to check our room was in an acceptable enough state. Multiple pools, gym and conference centre on site make this the obvious choice for your next business trip to Krabi (even if they don’t trust you to nick a towel or leave the AC on full blast 24/7). Four out of five for this one as not everyone is destined to be five.

Walked Out Without Unpacking
We viewed the room and walked the grounds and were so horrified we left immediately to another hotel without spending a single night.
The outdoor areas were filthy - furniture covered in bird droppings, stained cracked floors, and an overwhelming sense of neglect. Common indoor areas looked like an abandoned building site with exposed wiring and cardboard boxes left in the middle of the space.
The room sealed the deal - it smelled like it hadn’t been touched by a human in decades, and frankly the furniture supported that theory. Everything looked ancient and clearly hadn’t been replaced in years, if not decades. A lampshade with heavy rust staining around the edges, a sofa arm with peeling paint and rust, stained bed sheets, dirty unclean surfaces and black mould throughout the shower grout.
This place resembles a neglected hostel frozen in time, not a hotel. We couldn’t leave fast enough. Save your holiday and book elsewhere.

Avarage at best
Horrible beds. So hard you wake up with a back that dont work. The hotell is worn. In low season almost everything expect breakfast is closed down, and the breakfast is below avarage at best...

Horrible and unhygienic.
Very disappointing experience for a 4-star resort, especially during our honeymoon. The first room (917) was old, dirty, poorly maintained, and had insects/ants inside. We were moved to Room 822, which was slightly better but still had insects and old, unsatisfactory bedding.
A huge part of our first day was wasted dealing with complaints, room inspections, and contacting Booking.com instead of enjoying our vacation. One male receptionist was rude and pressuring, repeatedly calling us and even asking us to leave the room and wait at reception while the issue was discussed with Booking.com.
The resort is clearly understaffed and service is very slow. Bringing an iron took around 40 minutes, and we were later told the entire resort only has TWO irons and only two buggies for such a huge property — unbelievable.
I do want to thank Jasmine at reception, who was kind, professional, and the only staff member who genuinely tried to help and improve the situation.
The hotel does have a nice view and a good location, but the property itself is old and clearly in need of renovation. It feels like management is not interested in properly upgrading or maintaining the hotel to match the standards they advertise.
Overall, not worth the amount paid and nowhere near the standard expected from a 4-star hotel. Do not book here if you expect quality, comfort, and good hospitality.

Hotel to be Avoided
Pros :
Location : Just 100 Mtr from Main Ao Nang Road - seven 11 and other eatery just outside.
Cons -
- only 1 Cart for the entire resort
- They will ask 2000 THB as an refundable deposit
- No Packed water provided on the day of departure, as to refill the bottles from Hotel
- Simple things like body lotion is not there in Room
- Deluxe rooms do not have king bed, which Would have been specified upfront, so room had to be upgraded for which extraordinary cost taken 1200 TBH for a night. Seems some renovation going on, which was not disclosed while booking.
Overall 2 star hotel Max, bec of the location and basic services.
