Wonderful Stay & Amazing Staff
Overall
A lovely stay with a relaxing atmosphere. There is enough to enjoy inside the resort, so we didn’t really need to go outside.
Pool
We really loved the pool at the back of the resort. It was peaceful and a great place to relax.
☕ Café
Aroonsawat Café was also a nice spot.
Excellent bakery! Japan definitely deserves a special mention! He was always smiling, friendly, and gave us great recommendations.
Breakfast
Good breakfast with a nice variety of food. The service was friendly and attentive. WORTH IT.
️ Dinner
Dinner was one of our favourite parts. We met Japan again, and he helped recommend some dishes for us to try. excellent service made our evening extra special. Cherry, And Nana were also amazing, friendly and attentive.
Location & Beach
The location is peaceful, and the beach is beautiful and relaxing. A great place for a quiet getaway.

The resort is a little far from the main tourist areas, so getting around may require a car or taxi.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Great facilities, beautiful pool, good food and amazing staff. We would definitely come back!

New Resort in Layan Beach
Wonderful experience at the Radisson Resort Layan Beach, a short drive from the bustle of Cherng Talay and Boat Avenues restaurants and boutiques.
Great resort with beautiful grounds, lovely pool area, great gym and restaurant. Our favourite spot was the cocktail bar near one of the pools- no need to leave the resort!
Also appreciated the friendly and engaging staff and management.

Exceptional Hospitality
A big thank you to the lady at the breakfast reception on August 8th at 6:30 a.m. She was exceptionally attentive in every way.
I accidentally left my handbag behind, and she noticed it immediately. She quickly caught up with me to return it.

A disappointing stay at what feels like a hotel still under construction
We booked this hotel expecting the quality usually associated with the brand, but unfortunately our experience has been deeply disappointing. It feels as though guests are being asked to accept the consequences of a property that simply is not ready to operate at full capacity.
The main swimming pool is not operational. Instead, there is only a very small pool at the entrance which looks more like a decorative feature than somewhere guests can realistically enjoy. This was never made clear before our arrival.
The dining experience has also been extremely confusing. We booked half board, yet the restaurant staff often seem unsure about what is and is not included. Every meal becomes an unnecessary discussion instead of a relaxing experience.
This evening was particularly frustrating. Without any prior notice, we arrived for dinner only to discover that the restaurant had been closed and that dinner would instead be served in the outdoor café. Eating outside in temperatures of around 30°C with very high humidity was already uncomfortable enough, but there were not even any fans. To make matters worse, maintenance staff were carrying out tests on the swimming pool throughout dinner, creating constant noise and unpleasant chemical smells. It was completely inappropriate for what should have been an enjoyable evening meal.
Other aspects of the hotel are equally disorganised. Exchanging pool towels is unnecessarily complicated, and even getting to the beach feels poorly managed. There seems to be a general lack of organisation throughout the property.
The staff are polite, friendly and clearly doing their best under difficult circumstances, so this is certainly not a criticism of them. The problem appears to be that the hotel has opened before it is truly ready to welcome guests.
As things stand, I am genuinely concerned about what tomorrow will bring. This has been a major disappointment and certainly not the standard we expected from Radisson.
