Looked after and kind owners

We loved our time here. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Umajin looks after her guests very well. There is free tea and coffee, and fruit like bananas. We joined with two Italians and she acted as our driver and guide at Hellfire Pass. We wanted to do Erawan Falls by bus, so she dropped us at the station.
There was a great market around the corner where we found breakfast and dinner, and it's close to the JEATH museum too.

In desperate need of improvement

Leelawadee didn't make it into our books of great stays. It is too far from the Old Town of Sukhothai which is 45 minutes walking distance or a 15 minute ride in a Tuk Tuk.
The resort's good days have past with a great need of restoration. The pool they advertised was empty and the bikes we had were close to falling apart and haven't seen a drop of oil in centuries.
Staff was nice but communication fairly difficult at times. We were looking forward to breakfast which was quite disappointing for vegetarians as there was merely a kind of pork rice porridge, at least some bananas and fried eggs. That's it.
The room was okay with a fridge and large bed, the shower facilities old and run down.
We can't recommend it even if the grounds look quite nice on the photos.

Dusty Room

This resort is located at a very good environment area. Quiet and serene atmosphere. However, we were disappointed with the rooms as both rooms that we booked were dirty and dusty. It seems had been long time did not clean up the room and bathroom. Else, this resort was a very potential place. Big compound but not proper maintained and upkeep. Hotel reception area and dining place were messy which was an eye-sore. If visitors who were not so fussy on the cleaning side, it is still worth to stay in here.

Good value

Don't be misled by the word 'resort'. A Resort it is not! But the rooms are nice enough. Comfortable bed but no cupboards to hang clothes. Cable TV, 250 channels of Thai...........Location a bit far out of town or from eating places. Ok if you have your own transport, parking is also available outside your room. Staff are friendly and relaxed, grasp of English is limited. Breakfast was fairly average, one egg, one slice of fried sausage and 2 very small (2cm) sausages and coffee. And the rooster from next door will wake you bright and early in the morning! It was ok for the price though............

Nice Flair and Peacocks

+ surprisingly stylish at 400 baht per night
+ clean and comfy bed
+ nice interior decorations
+ peacocks can be heard crowing from the next door property
+ good position to reach historical park by bicycle
- peacocks can be heard crowing from the next door property!
- very little English spoken
- intermittent Internet connection problems
