Peaceful, Relaxing and a Great Base for Exploring Koh Samui
The location was ideal for us. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance, with Fisherman's Village just a 5-minute Grab ride one way and Chaweng around 5 minutes in the opposite direction, making it easy to explore both areas. There's also a handy little supermarket at the end of the road where you can stock up on drinks and snacks for a fraction of the price you'd pay in the hotel.
The only downside to the location was the number of stray dogs around in the evenings. They were a little intimidating when walking back from the bars and restaurants late at night, although this is more of a local area issue than anything to do with the resort itself.
We ate at the hotel several times and the food was always delicious. As you'd expect, prices were higher than eating at the local restaurants, but the quality was excellent, and we never had a bad meal.
The standout members of staff were definitely the bar team. They were friendly, welcoming and always full of energy. A special mention has to go to the gentleman we affectionately nicknamed "Barry" (we never managed to catch his real name!). He was an absolute credit to the resort and always had a smile on his face, making every visit to the bar enjoyable.
Unfortunately, our experience with the reception team was a little mixed. Whilst some staff were very helpful, others gave the impression that helping guests was an inconvenience. We also hoped to make use of the complimentary shuttle bus to the beach during our stay, but despite asking on several occasions, we never managed to use it, which was disappointing.
One of the biggest disappointments was that it was my husband's 50th birthday during our holiday. We had mentioned it to several members of staff during our 12-day stay, but unfortunately there was no acknowledgement at all. We certainly weren't expecting anything extravagant, but even a simple "Happy Birthday" or a small gesture would have made such a special milestone feel that little bit more memorable.
Despite these few negatives, we had an amazing holiday. The peaceful surroundings, comfortable rooms, great food and exceptional bar staff made our stay one to remember. Koh Samui is a beautiful island, and Chi Samui Resort provided the perfect base from which to explore it.
We'd happily return in the future and would recommend the resort to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a great location.

Amazing friendly hotel
Very clean hotel with a nice, chilled atmosphere.
The rooms are very spacious and the air-con was amazing.
The only thing was the bar closed at 10pm which was a shame.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and we would return.

Chi samui resort Unfortunately had no nice experience at this resort.
According to the information, the room would have a kitchen with hob (also visible in the photos), but this may not be used. There is also no crockery present. We first had another room with a microwave. After a free room upgrade via Booking we moved to a new room, but there was the microwave that should be above the fridge removed. Because of this, you can't even warm anything yourself.
On arrival we also found out that the seating area for lunch and dinner is not in use due to a renovation. This was not clearly stated beforehand. At the reception it was said that the restaurant would open at 20:00, it was 19:00 at the moment after which we waited an hour. Once there, the restaurant turned out to be closed.
The breakfast is also incorrect with the indicated times: according to the information this is from 07:30 to 11:00, but in practice they close half an hour earlier. Room service would be available from 07:30 to 22:00, but our order was refused at 20:00 because they were already closed.
In addition, transport to restaurants outside the resort stops as early as 8pm, leaving few alternatives.
The resort looks nice, but due to the incorrect information and the unavailability of facilities we unfortunately have not had a pleasant stay.
