Run down but pleasant stay. Biggest pool and great position to town and beach. Kind and helpful staff

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Massive pool which we had to ourselves the entire stay due to the fact there was no one else there! Rooms were clean and aircon was cold. No swim up bar despite them still advertising thy have one. Breakfast basic and no restaurant but they would’ve cooked for us if we wanted. Right on the beach and easy walk into town, bars, massage places etc. Felt safe there. We had a pool room which was great to access. Run down but we really enjoyed having the place to ourself. But not what we were expecting and paid for when booking online.

Disgusting hotel, avoid

Absolutely awful hotel. Looks nothing like the photographs or advertised facilities available. Very unkept, dirty and unsafe in areas. Got a refund of 6 nights as it is not what the adverts on main booking sites. Avoid and do not stay, especially if you are a family with children.
Whilst trying to speak to the reception staff the manager, they kept talking in their language and laughing very disrespectful.

We stayed at The Samui Beach Resort from 30 July, and unfortunately the hotel did not live up to the description and photos shown on Hotels.com.
After our first night, we paid to upgrade our room, which improved our stay. However, our overall impression is that the property appears to be in decline rather than being maintained to the standard presented online.
The hotel has potential, but the maintenance is below expectations. Several areas are worn down, some facilities are not in good condition, and there is no usable beach area directly in front of the hotel where guests can relax. The pool bar shown in the listing is closed or no longer exists.
The breakfast was particularly disappointing. The quality was extremely poor and far below what most travellers would reasonably expect from a hotel breakfast. The selection was very limited, and the overall standard did not reflect the quality advertised.
Another inconvenience is that it is difficult to buy drinks at the hotel. There is no operating bar, and despite the room description stating that a minibar is provided, our room did not have one. This means guests have very limited options for purchasing refreshments without leaving the property.
I would like to stress that this is not a criticism of the staff. They are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which is the hotel’s biggest strength.
The main issue is that the photos and description on Hotels.com do not accurately reflect the current conditon

The pictures on Hotels.com must be at least 20 years old — the place doesn’t look like that anymore. It’s run-down, many facilities are permanently closed, the mattresses are worn, and the towels were full of holes and very worn. Overall it’s a hotel that clearly shows nothing has been updated or renovated for many years. It would go that fare and say that the pictures are a scam!
The air conditioning was also terrible — it only had two settings: off or on. When it was on, it blasted full-power cold air, making the room freezing, and it was very noisy.
That said, the location was good and the beach was okay, although the sun loungers and umbrellas were worn. We didn’t try the breakfast because it only opens at 8:30, and the “kitchen” didn’t look particularly appetizing either.

We originally booked this hotel for four nights but left after only two nights, which already says a lot.
The welcome was poor and not friendly at all. Already in the corridor and on the way to the room, everything was very dirty. The outdoor areas were clearly neglected (see photos). The pool did not invite us to swim at all, and the access to the beach was also very dirty. Several pool areas seemed no longer in use, and the pool bar no longer exists (see photo).
In general, the entire hotel was very dirty and unhygienic. In the room, both the towels and the bed sheets were dirty. The room itself was extremely humid: the bed covers were damp, the whole room felt wet, the walls were dirty and there was a strong, unpleasant smell. Since only one room key card is provided, the air conditioning cannot be left on during the day, making it impossible to dry or dehumidify the room properly.
In addition, the hotel was very noisy and extremely poorly soundproofed. The shower had almost no water pressure, which was another major disappointment.
Overall, a very negative experience. We would absolutely not recommend this hotel and would not even give it one star.
