Magnificent hotel

Our travels took us to Mardin, where we had the opportunity to stay at the Raymar Hotel. Everyone, from the manager and receptionist to the waiters and room attendants, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everything was wonderful. We hope to have the chance to stay again in the future. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.

The hotel is in a very good location.

First of all, the hotel's location is excellent; it offers easy access to everywhere. Receptionist Mr. Halil was very attentive, friendly, and helpful; we thank him for his service. The rooms are very good in terms of cleanliness.

I don't recommend it.

The rooms are very small and gloomy.
There are no closed cupboards in the room. The open hangers are inadequate, almost ridiculous.
There is no luggage rack in the room.
The bathroom/toilet is dark. The shower door is broken. The soap dispensers are broken.
The huge hotel has a door that looks like a warehouse door.
The lobby is small and inadequate compared to other hotels.
The staff are friendly and helpful; however, the hotel is a disappointment.
The location is good. Parking is a problem.

Truly a wonderful hotel that deserves praise and appreciation, and I especially mention Mr. Saleh, the general manager, as well as all the friendly and helpful staff. Thank you, a thousand thanks to them all.

A bad choice.

We chose this hotel thinking we could get a sense of Mardin's culture and atmosphere from its photos, but I couldn't understand how or on what basis the hotel received its 5-star rating.
The rooms were neglected and dirty; I even hesitated to shower because of the dirt in the shower cabin. Generally speaking, I would say there is a cleanliness problem.
The rooms were also really small, and there was a column right in the middle of the room.
The minibar was empty (!)
The breakfast was still weak for a 5-star hotel.
This hotel, conceptually, could be a place where local and foreign tourists visiting Mardin might prefer a day trip stay without high expectations, but paying 5-star hotel rates for it would be pointless. It can be considered a 3-star city hotel. At this price, a more comfortable 5-star hotel from a well-known chain could have been chosen.
