gourmet dining, great prices, cozy but elegant atmosphere
What struck me is that their kitchen has improved even further. The food is really superb. They use this new technology (I do not even know the name) where they cook meats and fish at low temperature for a very long time, and as a result all meats and fish are really tender and taste fantastic. Never had such a tender goose leg, and one that has not dried out at all; and in addition it was not too fat either. Same with the fish. They bake their own bread, make their own jam, etc - so most things are home made. The food is served and presented in a very elegant and appetizing way. it is so delicious but still not fat but healthy, so you feel so good afterwards.
I also found it very reasonably priced - 2400 for game dishes including sides is not bad, especially at this quality and service level.
So I recommend you come here to have your meal even if you decide to stay elsewhere around the Zeplen (although it is probably your best choice given the wonderfun surroundings and the castle feeling).

Pleasant stay, value for money
We complained to the receptionist and she apologized but she could not do anything.
All in all, the hotel is good for this money, the breakfast was acceptable , ok, and the swimming pool was great to have because it was a really warm period of time.

Pleasant stay in beautiful surroundings
Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was quite basic, and we would appreciate a mosquito net on the window. Free parking, free wifi. Breakfast buffet and service could be improved. Good value for price.

Your best choice in Hungary with children - most family friendly place I have seen!
The hotel is in a dream location - nested in beautiful old forest. Its rooms are superb - they have just renovated a whole floor: you have jacuzzi, sauna IN YOUR ROOM!! and if you choose you can sleep right under the window with this dream view.
And the cuisine - each bite is an experience itself. The chef is great, the food is served very appetizingly. They have all these organic and locally made condiments such as all jams and fruit juices are home made, and many things are local. their game dishes are just delicious!
So you will regret you must go home because you could spend weeks here, there is so much to do for everyone. And the service/price ratio is just superb.
This hotel is a true gem - very hard to find but when you find it it is unique!.
