The best thing about returning is the cleanliness, tranquility, and empathy.

I am very critical about cleanliness, tranquility, and attention. I felt excellent during the 48 hours I spent with them. The reception is respectful, empathetic, and very welcoming. The cleanliness is top-notch. The room is top-notch. It was a pleasant experience.

10/10 Excellent.

The hotel is spectacular. The best value for money. Location is within reach of the entire downtown area and close to the Old City.
And the attention from the owner is excellent!!! Thank you, Rafa, for everything.

Amazing stay in hotel south

The truth totally proud, we were treated with a kindness and a totally incredible patience, being Argentine we were totally in love with the place the area and the same hotel. Totally grateful even with the information to get around and get to know tourist spots here, the truth is we leave happy and longing to come back and get to know some more. Hotel Sur, My First Trip to Uruguay

I had never been to Uruguay and had been thinking about it for a year. I planned on going alone, to do my thing and look around. I had been studying Spanish but when I got to Montevideo it all left me! I was a mess. I had decided that I wanted to stay somewhere in the center of things that was not so modern, that was quaint, that captured a feel of the area. This was it! Susanna, Adrienna, Rafael and Laura were fabulous hosts and took such good care of me. I realized early that my rudimentary Spanish was not going to work out and these Lovely People did everything they could to help guide me and communicate. The people of Montevideo are the kindest in the world and I think the staff of Hotel Sur are truly the kindest of them all. I loved staying at Hotel Sur. It was a little rustic, Very Clean, and had just the amenities I needed. This would be the place to go if you can’t afford (and don’t want) the ubiquitous modern Big Name Hotels, and you like homey charm and a family feeling. There were students staying there while getting certifications, young families and professionals on the go. Many people seemed to be regulars everyone was greeted with a big smile. I really felt that they would do their very best to help me with anything I might ask for. Adrianna speaks good English, is Such a love and was a great help to me. She made me feel so welcome and secure. Rafael spent an hour trying to figure out what I had done wrong with my Abitab chip in my phone, so I could get wifi outside the hotel. Crucial for UBER. And he fixed it! Susanna was my constant savior. She found me when I was lost (2 blocks from the Hotel) and brought me back. Laura always had a laugh and a smile for me. Seriously, I was pretty lame and I was in Really Good Hands. Just be careful on the sidewalks in Montevideo, the only pavement that isn’t out to get you is La Rambla!

Estimada Mary D : Realmente fue un gran placer conocerla. Su comentario posterior a su estancia en SUR Hotel es maravilloso y nos alegró a todos los que conformamos ésta Empresa. Saber que estuvimos a su altura, y el hecho que se sintiera como en su casa es muy gratificante y nos impulsa a seguir hacia adelante y no bajar núnca los brazos en éste, nuestro lindo trabajo de la hospitalidad.
Recuerde que siempre estaremos para poder ayudarle y brindarle una estadía placentera. Muchas gracias por elegirnos de entre tantas opciones de alojamiento en Montevideo. My experience in the hotel south

It has been a wonderful experience in the hotel, first time I leave my country (Chile) and well I had the opportunity to stay all the time in the hotel south, and it has been tremendous an incredible comfort that helped me live this beautiful experience of being in this country.
