Great place to stay - wonderful hospitality.

Wonderful hospitality - Thank you very much Manager Dgukan and his team! My departure flight was a bit late and they were very kind enough to let me extend my check out for additional 1hr. Appreciate your kindness. I stayed here for 3 nights between my trip and I was very pleased with cleanness, comfort and value for the money. Spa massage was excellent. Good breakfast and bed was very comfortable. Pick up from the Lusaka airport was smooth - a driver with my name sheet. I would stay here again and recommend others!

How did you get 4☆ rating?

.The staff seemed sad and overworked. The manager was very arrogant & rude and did not care about mums happiness- even on her birthday. Smiled about mum being upset.
. There was a lot of maintenance in the hotel and the pool was undergoing maintenance & when I asked the manager about it he said it would not be working till after we left.
.Our 3 star hotels did a welcome drink and this hotel didn't. The 3 star hotels were prettier. And the view of this hotel was not nice from any of the rooms.
. Bed was lumpy,

. Didn't have airport shuttle but it says website they do.
. Didn't have taxis and the staff used an app on their phones for booking transport that doesn't take a uk number so we could not download it. When I asked if we could have the number of a normal taxi driver they said not that they didn't have that. But the new hotel we went to had plenty of normal, professional taxi drivers that we could use

Well suited for both business and pleasure stops and located. Well with the city area of Lusaka . Generally quiet . Concerns are acted upon promptly . Well-varied breakfast choice .

The staff was lovely and very attentive especially at the front desk. The rooms were clean. I enjoyed the food at the restaurant.

Hotel with nice pool area

Best Western Plus Paramount Hotel is located at the Great East Road, depending on the traffic 30-60 minutes from the airport, to the Levy Mall it is about 15 minutes on foot.
The check-in was fast and efficient, and a welcome drink was provided. My room was spacious, there is a TV, safe, fridge, free bottled water, a kettle, tea bags. Shower is in a bathtub, I prefer walk-in showers because when entering/leaving the bathtub there is always the risk of slipping. The mattress was too soft for my liking. Internet connection was good with some interruptions due to power cuts which seem to be common in Lusaka.
The buffet breakfast allegedly is served from 6:00 -10:00, but do not show up before 6:30 if you want to have the full selection of the offered breakfast. Unfortunately juices are not fresh, some fruits are canned. Overall I liked the variety of the offered food which changed daily.
The outside pool area is in front of the hotel, nicely landscaped with comfortable and ample seating, a good spot to relax and have a beer after a long working day. One time I had a pizza which is prepared near the pool area, rather delicious.
The hotel restaurant serves tasty local, European, Asian, and Indian food.
Service at hotel, pool area, restaurant was top notch. What I did not like is the continuous noisy rap music in the lobby and especially at breakfast, the employees might like it but for me it was the first time to experience aggressive music at breakfast and in a hotel lobby, and I travel a lot.
All in all I had an excellent 2-weeks stay at this hotel, the very friendly, helpful, and professional staff is a big plus
