Our New Favorite Hotel in Paris!
We recently spent five nights at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, and it is now our favorite hotel in the city.
The hotel is in a wonderful location on Avenue Montaigne, close to great shopping, restaurants, and many of the sights we wanted to see. We also loved the hotel itself. The red awnings, beautiful architecture, and classic Parisian style give the Plaza Athénée so much character.
From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. Louise Prevost, Director of Guest Relations, greeted us personally and took us to our room. She was so warm and gracious, and it was a wonderful way to begin our stay.
We had booked a newly renovated Junior Suite and were very fortunate to be upgraded to a beautiful suite with a balcony and an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We especially loved the marble bathroom with its soaking tub and separate walk-in shower.
One of our favorite memories was sitting on the balcony in the evening and watching the Eiffel Tower light up and sparkle. We never got tired of that view.
The service throughout the hotel was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, and we always felt well taken care of.
The housekeeping team was wonderful. Our room was cleaned twice a day, and everything was always in perfect order. They paid attention to all the little details, which we really appreciated.
The concierge team was also a big part of what made our stay so enjoyable. I contacted them before our arrival with quite a few requests, including restaurant reservations and activities. They were extremely responsive and helpful and were able to arrange a reservation at La Renommée Restaurant as well as excellent seats at the Crazy Horse.
Lilli was especially wonderful and she was always responsive and answered all of my questions in great detail. Once we arrived, the concierge team continued to give us great suggestions and recommendations. Their knowledge of Paris was impressive, and they made planning our days much easier.
We had breakfast in the beautiful hotel restaurant every morning. We enjoyed the food and thought the service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and it was a very nice way to start each day.
I was also celebrating a special occasion during our stay, and the hotel did so much to make it memorable. I was surprised and delighted by the beautiful gifts and thoughtful treats that were waiting for me. Those personal touches meant a lot to me and were something I will remember.
We also really enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel. There was always a nice energy throughout the property. It felt lively without losing the elegance that makes the Plaza Athénée so special.
On our last evening, we had dinner at La Terrasse Montaigne and sat outside on the terrace. It was fabulous and a wonderful way to finish our stay.
We also had the pleasure of meeting François Delahaye, the General Manager. He was engaging, gracious, and delightful to talk with. It was clear how much pride he takes in the hotel and its traditions. We enjoyed meeting him very much.
What we loved most about the Plaza Athénée was not just the beautiful room or the location. It was the combination of the setting, the service, the staff, and the feeling we had throughout our stay. We felt genuinely welcomed and cared for.
This was one of those hotel stays where we were sad to leave. The Plaza Athénée is now our favorite hotel in Paris, and we are already looking forward to returning.

A tasty breakfast

My first breakfast at daybreak, at the Plaza Athénée.
I am guided to my table, in the center of its large room.
A table composed of a single, unique slab of marble with impressive dimensions. Imagine, nearly ten centimeters thick, over a length of a little more than ten meters, which seems to float in the air with lightness and which gives our table all its freshness as well as its stability; a feat of engineering.
Three large monolithic marble basins adorn the Table, providing a masterful floral bouquet that enhances the setting.
From the walls to the ceilings, down to its sparkling chandeliers, the omnipresent golds radiate and reflect in the mirrors, bringing a voluptuous richness that impresses the guests. On the floor, a magnificent rug adds a character that befits the beauty and tranquility that mark its imposing high places.
The armchair is spacious, pleasant for bringing one's desires to the Table. On its immaculate doily, breakfast is set, with its porcelain, its silverware, its various silver amenities, presenting the different honeys and jams, various sugars...
Coffee or hot chocolate is served to you from a silver service, and depending on your choice, it is a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, with a glass of water, that will open and quench the slightest thirst.
Then come on a silver tray, the pastries, not to say the Parisian brioches, with their specificities to satisfy their clients, like these little Japanese white rolls. Soft as can be, its butter croissants, its breads with the chocolate bread, make and remake everyone's happiness, auguring a beautiful day in perspective... Satiated, my gaze turns to La Cour Jardin, this magnificent green interior courtyard, with an idyllic decor, which recalls Juliet's house in Verona, of which Shakespeare mentions one of these windows... I leave the Plaza-Athénée, lighthearted, with wonderful memories of having experienced the splendor of a royal breakfast, which had everything to please, with attentive staff, and which makes one want to return to this mythical scene of hospitality and gastronomy.

Very beautiful experience
I spent an evening at the gallery at the Plaza Athénée and it was a very beautiful experience.
The service is impeccable, worthy of one of the best Parisian luxury hotels.
The terrace is magnificent, elegant, and very chic, offering an exceptional setting. The cuisine is of good quality, and the prices are in line with the prestige of the hotel and the experience offered.
An ideal place to enjoy an evening in a refined atmosphere.

Personally, I saved up on purpose to treat myself to the luxury of staying there, even though it was for work, during the first weekend of July. If you wish to experience one of the most prestigious hotel stays in Paris, the Hôtel Plaza Athénée is considered an excellent choice. It is particularly recommended for anniversaries, honeymoons, or luxury stays, thanks to the impeccable service, the elegance of the surroundings, and the privileged location.

The Plaza is the gold standard of Parisian luxury. All of the staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful -- I don't know how they do it, but they know the guests by name when they see you, they greet you personally, and any requests are met promptly.
