A real Mad Men treat.

This hotel is just so beautiful. A 1960's makeover turned this once dingy and rough place into a real beauty. We didnt know anything about it and were just trying to find a reasonably priced place to stay in Adelaide while on a brief trip. It has 2 floors - we were on the first floor, lift access. Our room is large, a fully wheelchair accessible bathroom, enormous and comfortable king size bed, and everything spotlessly clean. Plus lots of parking, and despite being on a major road the room was whisper quiet. The makeover has been meticuously done with great attention to detail. The fining room and bar area is quite beautiful. It also has a 60's inspired pool, and I felt like I had walked onto the set of Mad Men. Staff are very efficient and helpful. The hotel is a short stroll to the railway station. Only improvement I would suggest would be to provide a microwave in the room plus plates and cutlery. All in all, a great place to stay and reasonably priced.

Place was ok, I think the price was a bit high for the location. Room had a bit of a smell to it, were some long hairs left in the bathroom. Some crackhead neighbours kicked off at 3am for a while, which wasn't cool.

Fully refurbished, new, clean room & premises. We were very impressed overall. Friendly staff, plenty of parking.
Room had tea/coffe, kettle, hairdryer, but please note no microwave. Maybe some rooms have them?

Clean and tidy hotel, quite a distance from Adelaide city centre

Having stayed in Adelaide for the recent Ashes series part of the trip I stayed at Peninsula Hotel Motel.
This Hotel Motel is located around 30 minutes on the train from Adelaide City centre - so if you’re wanting somewhere close to the city with walking distance this hotel wouldn’t be for you.
You can access the train from the city centre very easy and frequent and drops you direct outside of the Hotel Motel at Midlunga station. You jump off the train and can walk safely over the tracks back to the hotel.
The hotel is located off a main road and is in a housing estate.
We didn’t have breakfast withour deal and I’m not sure if the hotel offer breakfast- there is a cafe close by but there isn’t much in the way of food close to the hotel.
The hotel rooms are very good and spacious with all the facilities which you need, there’s a large sitting area with a big TV and kitchen if required.
The rooms are big and comfy - however please note there isn’t a safe in the room to keep valuables.
The hotel reception is also locked on a morning - so you could struggle to speak to anyone if you have an enquiry first thing on a morning.
The swimming pool area is small but good if you’re wanting a quick relax while staying at the hotel but please note there isn’t many sun loungers to sit on.
We eat in the hotel one night and the food is pretty good - however it’s similar prices to in the city centre where you will get better quality food.
The hotel also offer entertainment most nights in the bar along with a big tv screen to watch sports.
Overall a good experience.
