Set among heritage-listed gardens this historic art deco building has been renovated to provide charming accommodations in a peaceful location. Linaker Art Deco Motel offers a tennis court. Linaker Art Deco Motel is a 20-minute walk from Beechworth Town Center and a 15-minute walk from Lake Sambell. Albury Airport is a 50-minute drive away. These heated rooms offer a flat-screen TV. There is a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. It offers a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Towels and linen are provided The property also features a library and a shared lounge area. Guests enjoy free in-site parking and free WiFi in common areas. Adequate, fair value, old - just ring in advance to confirm exact details of advertised room

Old, budget, not spotless but OK and fair value. Slightly spoiled by inaccurate advertising.Some sites say room 3 others say 2 max. Disagreement re advertisement saying double plus sofa bed. Had to argue the issue slightly to get sofa bed made up but was done and staff friendly - might have been a language issue. Former Beechworth "Lunatic Asylum". Garden fantastic! Not fancy but happy to stay here again.

Very Unpleasant Experience

Absolute worst place we have stayed in, grubby, curtains hanging off the windows, mould in the shower it was a horrible experience

Disappointing.

Very shabby and poorly run. Not maintained at all well, although some in our group had a better standard room with a larger tv than the size of a microwave oven. Some even had aircon. Sad to see how much it has been let go. (We had stayed there before.) Inadequate internet, and only two TV channels. It’s only about one and a half “stars”. We appreciated the delightfully cheerful house maid though. I think she was Fijian?

What a toilet

What can I say. Nothing works, the place is falling apart. The "Concierge" was shoes less the whole time and failed to put his teeth in, the place is shabby, the internet is non existent though there is supposed to be internet access. The place is dirty and dusty.

Perfect for a two night stay and very reasonably priced.

Stepping back to the Art deco era was a great experience at the very well priced accommodation. The grounds around the motel are definitely worth taking a walk around with a stunning variety of old trees and plants, designed and planted by Hugh Linaker! Deano was very helpful and the rooms comfortable with AC that was needed as it was hot for our 2 night stay. Would recommend.
