Very well.

Thanks to Laurence, welcoming and available for her guests, her home, nestled in a beautiful park with a pond, is beautiful. The beautifully appointed rooms are sumptuous. Breakfast is hearty.
It's very good in winter it must be beautiful in summer.

Hidden Gem

On our first attempt we drove right past the entrance-the demolished building at the entrance made us wonder if we were in the right place, but as soon as we were through the gates, we could see that we were somewhere exceptional. The building is elegant, the grounds superb, and the public spaces roomy with welcoming decor. It's more of a big B&B rather than a small hotel, but a very good one. I suspect that we had the smallest of the rooms, but we were comfortable enough for our 4 nights. Ter Wallen is an easy walk from the Markt square and the station, so it's a good spot for exploring this part of Belgium, and close enough to some of the historic battlefields for a day trip. Izigem itself is a nice small town, with plenty of spots to enjoy a beer or two. Ter Wallen's breakfast is on the expensive side; we only had breakfast on one morning but it was very good.

Bit more expensive than ordinary hotel but this one has everything just better. I think it's worth of it and creates new unforgettable memories one can live again and again. Hotel and room was top, service was very personal with nice "customer first" attitude. Also good restaurant proposals, which one of made the dinner of our summer vacation that we will remember for a long time. Breakfast was classy and tasty. Highly recommend.
