Successful overnight stay in East Belgium

In this guesthouse we stopped for one night during our Vennbradfahrt.In the nice town of St.Vith in eastern Belgium, the house is totally centrally located on the town hall square opposite the tourist information.All restaurants are within walking distance because the property does not offer meals.The rooms are sufficiently large and very clean.In the lounge on the 1st floor you can relax comfortably with a drink.The only downside is that it might get a little too loud for noise-sensitive people who want to sleep early and wake up late.

Simple hotel

The location of the hotel in the middle of Sankt Vith is fine, the room was quite cramped, but also not expensive. We could enter with a code and also in the garage to park our bikes. Breakfast at one of the recommended bakeries fine.
However, it was with the windows open because of the hot weather a bit noisy because of the pub on the corner.

Very kind and good service

B&B located above a French fries take away / snack. Rooms are clean and the service is very kind. Acoustically (doors) not very well insulated, hence a bit loud. Mattresses are in hard foam, not for every back ..
Value for money is ok.

B&B Haus Marquet – Gut geeignet für einen Zwischenstopp auf dem Vennbahn-Radweg

Im Rahmen unserer Vennbahn-Radtour durch Deutschland-Ostbelgien und Luxemburg übernachteten wir im B&B Haus Marquet in St. Vith. Weil wir uns bei einem Zwischenstopp in Waimes auf den falschen Radweg begeben hatten, waren wir plötzlich in Malmedy und nicht wie geplant in St. Vith. Wir informierten telefonisch den Inhaber des Haus Marquet, dass es eine Stunde später würde, als geplant; das war überhaupt kein Problem für ihn, als wir vor dem B&B vorfuhren, wurden wir vom Inhaber herzlich begrüßt und er half sogar beim reintragen der Packtaschen. Die Pedelecs konnten wir ca. 150 m entfern von B&B in einer separaten Garage abstellen und auch dort die Akkus laden. Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte einen guten Standard für ein B&B, ebenso das Frühstück am anderen Morgen, hervorzuheben ist der leckere Kaffee.
Uns hat es im B&B Haus Marquet gut gefallen mit netten und hilfsbereiten Menschen im Service.
Etwas Aufpassen muss auf eine bauartbedingt etwas höhere Treppenstufe (Stolpergefahr!), ist zwar optisch kenntlich gemacht, kann man aber bei Dunkelheit und Schummerbeleuchtung schon mal übersehen.

Een warme "thuis"

Haus Marquet is een B&B met een hart voor haar bezoekers.
Centraal gelegen in het centrum van St. Vith.
De geur van de aanhorende Sankt Fritt is "miraculeus" en volledig verdwenen bij het ontbijt.
Vooral de ontbijtservice is geweldig: lekker, verse knapperige broodjes met een uitgebreid assortiment aan beleg. Dit alles aangevuld met yoghurt, vers fruit ...
De gastvrouw is uitermate vriendelijk. Zij adviseert je deskundig over de wandel- en fietsmogelijkheden in de regio. Zij runt de B&B en is ook nog een toeristische ambassadrice van St. Vith. Kwaliteits/prijs gezien zeker een aanrader
