Simple and good, but with energy drop problem
It is important that people know that this is a guesthouse that is not located on a badalade beach and not even on the beach is. Stay in a site area after a simple neighborhood. However, this location brings benefits: the first is the price, the second is the tranquility and sound of birds and animals and the third is that if you want to escape the bustle, it is an ideal place, as it is strategically positioned between the center of Paraty (20min) and São Gonçalo (10min), which is a much better beach for bathing and spending the day than those of the city center. It is good, therefore, to spend the night or do boat trips in the center, but also to enjoy Cedro Island and São Gonçalo.
The negative point is due to the repeated energy drops. We stayed in the New Year and fell energy every day. It is not the guilt of the hostel itself, because apparently in periods of great concentration of people, such as on the turn, the street falls and remains half-phase. Still, it is bad and we stayed a few moments unable to take a bath and without wi-fi. As a recommendation for improvement, there is the installation of solar panels.

However the location is about 25 minutes taxi driver from the historic center which will cost you a $20 taxi. And therefore you will have to pay that every time you want to come into the marina and take a tour. And then going back as well. The area where the posada is located is not very busy and it can feel a bit scary if you want to walk by yourself. The posada concept is great, and the host is also great, however if you want to do tours from the marina and spend time at the historic center of Paraty, you should book a posada within at least 10 minutes drive from the History center and the marina. The wifi worked good, the hosts and breakfast was really good, but please do know that you can not walk to the historic center and the marina or PAraty, you will need to pay $20 or more taxi to get there.
