Things have changed since the old days.
I was at this hotel in 2019. Things have changed since then: Relaxed in this hotel recently, were very satisfied. The staff is polite, always ready to help, quickly moved in.
Room is spacious, cleaning every day, but not ideal, towels were changed regularly. The food is very delicious, quite varied. The area is well maintained, lots of greenery, nice to walk. The sea is near, the beach is clear, the sunbeds were plenty. now they host children's camps. The animators are wonderful. Overall, great value for money, let's come here again.

Horror
At Hotel Byala, the only advantage was the beach being right next to the hotel. Everything else was a disadvantage – and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Cleanliness was nonexistent: in the rooms, throughout the hotel, and at the pool. The pool was never cleaned during our entire 8-day stay, nor were the sunbeds or the area beneath them. In the rooms, no proper cleaning was done – they would just take out the trash and occasionally bring toilet paper, if they remembered. Spider webs everywhere, dust balls in the corners.
The food? “Terrible” is an understatement. Breakfast was exactly the same every single day – eggs, cheese, processed cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers. Taste? None. Quality? The lowest I have ever experienced. On top of that, there was a security guard making sure you didn’t take more than two eggs.
In the room, there were signs threatening extra charges if you didn’t wash the dishes – yet no dish soap was provided. We had to buy our own, and the few dishes in the room were dirty and insufficient, so cooking was impossible.
The cherry on top was at check-out: they wouldn’t let us leave, claiming a towel was missing. There’s always a scheme – if you don’t tip the cleaning lady, something “disappears” from your room so you’ll have to pay. Given how disgusting the place looked, I never even touched their towels. I told them it was impossible for it to be missing, and only then did they let us go.
Important note: we also stayed here back in 2015, and at that time the experience was completely different. The good reviews seem to be from that period. Now, the hotel is run by someone else – a person who, ironically, would pass by while we were eating and mockingly ask if the food was good.
Pps. Wifi didn’t work.
This hotel doesn’t even deserve a rating of 3 out of 10. Absolutely not recommended.

Very disappointing, definitely not a four star
I stayed at this hotel in mid September and other than the swimming pool there were no facilities and nothing to do. It is not a nice environment and everywhere is quite dirty - there's nowhere to sit and relax and the dining room is more like a works canteen than a restaurant with loud music blaring out. The food is monotonous with pretty much same things every day and things not used came out again and again. One morning the bread for toasting had mould on it which was shocking. The barman used a single cloth to wipe down all the surfaces in the dining room without any cleaning products,disgusting.
The bedroom/bathroom were never properly cleaned. The sheets did not fit/cover the mattress which felt really unhygienic.
The beach is reached by 100+steps which would be impossible for anyone with a disability. There is quite a lot of rubbish on the beach and no bar/facilities, One day all the umbrellas and beds were removed never to reappear. All in all it was very poor.

such a shame hotel
have just arrived back off our family Holiday where do i start firstly rooms are big great view thats the best thing now bad things rooms are never cleaned floors are disgrace bathroom omg my son brought cleaning spray from supermarket sheets dont fit bed i was on mattress i was awake alnight panicking under bed hadnt been cleaned for dont know how long . now food when we arrived on morning cold fried eggs salad awful ham stuff we complained to rep next day had boiled eggs and a bit extra stuff and a bit warmer outside is beautiful but again no cleaning never cleaned stains every where i really hope next season they get there fingers out and get some PROPER CLEANERS !!!!!!!!! its a must clean everywhere and change beds please please please last thing to mention some staff are the best pool bar plamen is fab lovely lad and a couple of lads in resturant are nice

Very dirty. Filthy.
It is a very dirty place. The dirtiest was the dining room and the terrace. Dirty tables, dirty floor, old stains, hair... The room was also poorly cleaned, but in comparison with the dining room it was some sort of “ok”.
We planned to stay 2 weeks, but left after day 4, because it was impossible to stay in this dirt.
