My second home by the sea – Bora Bora never disappoints
I have been coming to Hotel Bora Bora for many years, and I can honestly say that it has become my second home on the Bulgarian seaside. I return every year, and one of the things I appreciate most is that the owner genuinely cares about the hotel and constantly makes improvements to keep everything in good shape.
For the past few years, I have always booked the apartment on the 6th floor, which has an absolutely amazing view. Until this year, the elevator only went up to the 5th floor, so we had to take the stairs for the last floor. This year, however, there was a very pleasant surprise: the hotel has a brand-new elevator, much faster than the old one, and it now goes all the way to the 6th floor.
There have been plenty of other improvements as well. The room now has new furniture, the walls in both the rooms and hallways have been refurbished, and the bathrooms have been modernized. The shower areas have been completely updated, including new shower enclosures and new shower walls. Everything feels fresh and much more comfortable.
The food is another area where I noticed a significant improvement. The restaurant now has two chefs, and several new dishes have been added to the menu. If you stay here, you absolutely have to try the chicken with four kinds of cheese and the beef from the hotel restaurant. Both are excellent and definitely worth trying. Breakfast is also tasty and varied, with plenty of options to choose from.
As for cleanliness, I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything is spotless, and towels are changed whenever necessary.
Another major advantage, especially for guests arriving by car, is the parking. It is secure, enclosed and completely free for hotel guests. This is a huge benefit, considering that parking elsewhere can cost around €15 per day, even at some 4- and 5-star hotels.
For me, Bora Bora is no longer simply a hotel where I stay during my holidays. It has become a place I return to year after year because I know what to expect, and because I can see that things continue to improve every year.
It is genuinely nice to see a hotel that you have been visiting for so many years continuing to invest, renovate and improve.

Fabulous
This was our second visit to this hotel and its been absolutely fabulous, location is perfect close to sunny beach at the quieter end but close enough to the strip which offers a vibrant night life so best of worlds just a little gem of a place Stivan the bar men is a great guy and great to talk too so is the owner peter a Top guy all the staff are pleasant Thanks again for welcoming us back to your little gem of a hotel
We have had great second experience here in Bulgaria and we will be returning next year with family rooms spotless beds comfy great food menu breakfast all though basic still plenty of choice much love guys Warren and Rob ( From Cardiff Wales)

A family favourite
Just got back from another amazing stay at the Bora bora hotel. You know the place is good when you go back and see so many people from the year before.
Got to hotel and to see the rooms have had significant work done, rooms had been completely renovated with new comfy beds. More power points added and new wardrobe and other units around the room. Shower and units in the bathroom had also been replaced. Chairs on balcony also replaced.
Food and drink still amazing here and cheap compared to prices at home. The service is always friendly and familiar. Never had a bad meal here and we ate every single day, from pork steaks, schnitzel to pancakes as an example of their variety. The bar staff and waiters cant do enough for you. The breakfast is basic but there is something for everyone every day even for the fussiest if eaters.
The cleaning staff do an absolutely amazing job, room is cleaned every single day and always spotless and clean.
The pool area there is always plenty of space for sunbeds, also the pool and area is kept spotless. My kids in it every single day without fail.
The reception team and management are always willing to go out their way to help in anyway possible and always greeted with warmth and smile.
Located right by the beach it also within 10 to 20 mins walk from loads of bars and restaurants, we ate somewhere different every single night as we know the place well as we been going for years so know wheres best to go.
Honestly we love this place so much so me and my boys allready planning next year's holiday back. This truly is a hidden gem of a place. Can't wait to be back. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who made mine and my sons stay magical as always

Nice basic hotel but room for improvement
I stayed here for a week in August. The hotel is at the quieter end of Sunny Beach, which we really appreciated as it meant avoiding some of the crowds. I don’t often leave reviews, particularly negative ones, and overall our stay was fine. For a budget hotel it did the job, but having read the very positive reviews beforehand, there were several things that disappointed us.
Hotel is super basic, the beds in our room were hard and you only got a basic sheet, the soap dispensers in the room were empty and not refilled. Our balcony door was broken and wouldn’t close. But it is clean so no complaints there.
The breakfast was a disappointment, not a big choice and only served from 8-10 which on a beach holiday doesn’t leave much time to sleep in. The juice served was all from a concentrate and tasted incredibly artificial.
We also missed breakfast on one of the days and ordered some from the menu, the omelette I had had two (!) large black hairs in it; I pointed it out to the server/bartender, he just shrugged and we paid full price.
I also had a hair in a salad I ordered. I do have to say all the food we’ve had there was delicious; big portions and well seasoned.
The pool is fairly small and there were no beach towels given to us. As mentioned in other reviews people quickly “reserve” loungers by placing their towels on them and leave for the whole day, staff don’t seem to mind and I think there could be a sign saying you can’t leave your bed unattended.
The other big thing was the noise at night - there was an incredibly loud family playing pool and shouting most nights until 1-2am and on another occasion teenagers were loudly playing in the pool and shouting at 3am. Staff didn’t do anything about it.
Another thing I was quite disappointed by was the lack of help - we asked at the reception how we could get to the airport and the answer was “get a taxi or a bus”. They could have easily called someone or at the very least recommended a service to call.
I suppose for the price the bare minimum is expected but having read other extremely positive reviews I was expecting a bit more!

Excellent little hotel
We have been here for over a week now and have been very happy with every aspect of it. The rooms are clean, showers are great, the aircon works very well and they have decent balconies. The breakfast has something for everyone and the food from the bar menu is very good. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the whole place is very well kept. The pool is small but has enough space to float around on an inflatable bed. It is well situated, in the Northern end of the town, away from the less salubrious parts but has a bus stop nearby to get you around. Music in the bar/pool area is not particularly intrusive, even though some of it won't be to everyone's taste, mine incuded. Overall, we would definitely recommend it and will likely return at some point
