This is a great place to stay. The room was was clean, well maintained and spacious. The staff were friendly. It's also pet friendly. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The room was clean.
The water pipes were noisy going to sleep and being on the lower floor of bldg B we heard the folks upstairs walking around.
Beach area was lovely and peaceful at the end of the days drive.
Shirley in the pub was great.

This is a charming old fashioned beach resort. The restaurant is very good, there's a nice beach, and several options for rooms or cabins. It is family-friendly. It isn't fancy, but the staff are friendly and it is clean and comfortable. It is convenient for visitors to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. At night, the stars are fantastic.

The location is what you pay for, the beach is a short walk away and absolutely gorgeous. Our room was in an older building, and it was not very well maintained. We had a gorgeous view from our balcony, but it was in rough shape. It seemed like there was mold in our bathroom and you could smell the humidity. The bed was uncomfortable. Staff were very nice and the property was clean, just not well maintained (at least the building we were in). If we were to go back, we would request one of the newer units. Breakfast was a bit expensive considering the selection.

The location is perfect for hiking and the property has a beach front to watch the sunrise. However, the amenities are old and the kitchenette does not have a stove top. A barbeque is available. It was overall a good stay. Its just that the cost makes it difficult to give it a higher rating. Having said that, the cost of rentals are high all around the area.
