Lovely location

We arrived at the hotel without luggage due to BA’s incompetence. When it did arrive the owner carried our cases single handedly up the stairs! The room was clean and great views over the ocean. My husband said the shower was the best ever. Good restaurant right next door too.

Upgrade misleading. Let me throw you under the bus.

Checked in Sunday April 26. At time of check in, asked if we wanted to upgrade to the hotels White house property. We were not told that the upgrade came with less amenities, that for a 6night stay our bedding does not get changed. We have to wash the bedding, towels, take out the garbage, recycling and compost and scrub bbq after previous guests check out. The grounds are unkept, no landscaping gets done, at least not regularly, garbage laying around in the shrubs. The upgrade comes with less amenities. The cupboard had sugar spread around in it. A desk staff person threw two staff under the bus, pointing his finger at their lack of experience.

You pay for the view and the location.

Overall we enjoyed our time on the Sunshine Coast and this hotel is in a great location close to restaurants, a fruit stand and retail store. Across the street is the beach and a pier where you can fish or swim off of. The hotel also had an area out front where you can play bocci or even soccer (which is what my son did). We stayed in a 2 bedroom second floor suite which was equipped with a kitchenette and whatever you need to make a meal. The room also had air conditioning. My favourite feature of the room was the balcony that faced the water and pier. We spent our mornings drinking coffee and evenings drinking wine on the balcony, people watching and enjoying the waterfront view. Sam, at the front desk, was very personable, friendly and happy to accommodate our requests (extra bath towels, extra beddings). The hotel even offers free popsicles everyday and has a decent coffee machine at the front desk. Our kids enjoyed getting hot chocolates while we were there.
The room could use some freshening up — mainly the furniture. The coffee table is pretty worn out and the couch had stains everywhere. We used the extra bedding to cover it up so we felt more comfortable sitting on the couch.
Otherwise, a great location, very kind staff and besides the couch and coffee table; a comfortable stay.

Comfortable, spacious and newly renovated rooms. Perfect location and friendly staff. We had a wonderful stay.

First, exceptional staff. Second, we booked a room with an ocean view and did not get that. Apparently all of those rooms have been given away, and they could not honour our booking choice. But the staff were extremely helpful, genuinely tried to find a solution, and we were satisfied with their resolution of the issue. Later, they were extremely helpful with a different problem which was entirely my own fault! Huge thanks to them. Rooms are quiet. Lots of parking and even EV charging! The restaurant attached is not part of the hotel but it’s very convenient and very good. Thanks again and overall we would stay again
