Review Château Challanges

How much we enjoyed our stay at Château Challanges! From the moment of arrival we felt welcome by the fine reception. We immediately got lots of useful information, including a handy list of restaurants nearby and in Beaune itself. That made discovering the area extra easy.
Our room, Madeleine, was beautifully decorated and fully equipped. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the fridge was stocked and the bed was really lovely.
Lunch was also a big plus: delicious cheese platters with hot rolls, perfect for relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of the château.
The staff absolutely deserve a compliment. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and ready where needed. Special kudos to the owners: they have really done well for each other and do everything to give their guests a carefree stay. In addition, a special thanks to the now 16 year old house cat
Despite a short loss of a cuddly toy that had ended up with the laundry (or secretly kidnapped ) we had quickly forgotten that because of the fantastic time at Chateau de Challanges! We will definitely be back

A gem

We are “repeat offenders” and came back in January as a stopover. Parking is free at the house. Again we were greeted very nicely and what I really credit the hotel very highly, you noticed that we have been there before! (Some 5 star hotels can't do that.)
Then we were taken to the room and explained everything. This time we were in the annex on the first floor in the triple room Louise.
Again, we loved it and enjoyed the evening there. The cute bear was also waiting again on the 3rd. Our daughter's bed. The beds are not big but very comfortable. The next morning followed the very good breakfast and then we unfortunately had to leave. We firmly intend to come here in summer to enjoy the garden! We will definitely come back!

5 Stars isn’t enough for this true gem!

We have travelled the world and stayed at numerous great places, but this one left an indelible mark on our hearts. All thanks not only to an authentic yet respectfully modernized French oasis, but also to the host Vanessa and her team – their exceptional warmth and hospitality truly made us feel appreciated and welcome!
We had a lovely room in the annex, from where we could easily overlook and access the beautiful pool area, as well as enter our room from the charming courtyard.
The breakfast is a chapter by itself: a sumptuous selection of whatever you could wish for, all meticulously prepared and served in a chateau-worthy setting. When the weather allows, you can choose to enjoy it in the courtyard garden, where you can dine surrounded by a feeling of ancient magic."
We will surely come back!

We stayed for 2 nights on our way back to the UK with our dog. It’s a lovely old chateau a few miles outside Beaune. The staff were incredibly helpful, the breakfast was great and there were spacious grounds for walking the dog. We parked easily in the grounds and generally found it very relaxing. We will return.
