It was in the middle of nowhere and we had to drive 15 miles to find anything to eat.

Very enjoyable stay----friendly staff,nice room with an open,tranquil aspect. The resto was good,excellent cooking,all at a very good price.
BUT during the night we were eaten alive by mosquitos!!
At one stage in the middle of the night we had to wage war on them!
Not their fault of course----we would love to go again but hopefully out of mossie season & with a tube of bite cream!

We used this as an overnight stay when heading south. The ultra modern reception contrasts with the rather dated, though comfortable rooms. We were the only guests, but if there had been more, then privacy might have been a problem as the only ventilation on a hot night was to open the window onto the open balcony which also acted as the corridor to all the rooms.
We also had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent - local style cuisine but with a more refined touch than is generally found in this area. Service was efficient and friendly in all respects.
What we saw of the village was very pretty alongside the river.

OK but expensive

We tried to find a MacDonalds, instead we stumbled across Les Deux Sapins, a hotel with attached restaurant.
The service was slow but it was busy with six tables arriving within minutes. Food was enjoyable except for the very, very tired cheese board that really needed taking out to the bin.
We had three courses, plus beer and wine for 100Euros, nothing spectacular but we took advantage of finding lamb chops on a menu. They were very good as was the nicely cold Gamay, another gem.
The dessert called the 'Colonel' is lethal, such is the amount of alcohol but it was pretty good.
Coffees were hot and strong, much better than the insipid muck in the local B&B.
Nice atmosphere, friendly folk and good to eat outside on a hot evening.
The place rates at good 3+ but the awful cheese board and high cost/low value prevents it from being a 4'

Next to the river Eure

Rooms are a bit dated but adequate. They are all on the first floor (for Americans the second floor), accessible by a single flight of stairs. There is no elevator. The restaurant and bar are to French high standard, but closed on Sunday. There is no other eatery in the village. We found the nearest in Evreux at 15 kms. The village is a beauty along the Eure.
